I've been reading various forums today and whilst its obviously disappointing to not win it happens, thats football! We seem to have some fans that expect us to win every game, while it would be nice its GOING TO TAKE TIME. Simple as that Reading are tough at their stadium and are fighting for their lives and we still outplayed them, just didnt score. BR's had 33 league games to see the training work be put into effect into a competitive league game and we will get there. We have bettered teams this season (as echoed by Glenn Johnson - and is clear to see!) but frustratingly havent finished our chances! It happens, we're not good enough yet to just turn up and win. Recognise where our team is at the moment We're getting there though, we do the hard work in my opinion which is creating the chances and are on a good road. Players are not robots and each game they will perform differently! We need more additions to the squad and let BR's methods get cemented into the team. The biggest thing about not getting Europa if that happens is eventually when we do get back into top 4 our seeding will have suffered but i'll worry about that when we get to it. Until then chill, it will click but not this season which I think most never expected it too anyway Now I have to feed my month old daughter who incidentally isnt moaning as much as what ive seen some of our fans doing today! Very frustrating yesterday. The good points are we dominated and created many more chances than we would have done in previous seasons...we just need someone to put it in the net.
If you've got plenty of EFC family, then you surely don't need that explaining? A net transfer spend the same as the fee Brenda paid for Allen, over his entire 11 year reign & yet we're still mixing it with the big spenders trying to get a CL place...........
One League cup in 7 years is hardly 'value' for spending over £200M more on transfer fees & £300m more on wages is it? You might as well pack it in yourselves like - 2nd year running you're going to finish below us btw.
You can't speak about Everton's net spend then compare it to our total spend Moyes is obviously good at what he does, he takes average players and cheap pickups and makes a solid team out of the. Lately, a solid team with a bit of flair up top. But that's as far as you're going. I hope you get CL football, mind you, but Moyes can only take you so far.
