What about those two dangerous lunges from Vaughan and McLean that were no different to tackles we've seen red given for recently? Well, I guess you never saw those.
Except they didn't make any contact muppet. Cabaye is the dirtiest player in each of our sides but I guess do don't see his cowardly kicks and over the ball tackles either.
I do actually but the difference is I can admit it. Most mackems blindly defend their players no matter what, eg, hate Taylor for cheating, don't criticise Larsson who does the same regularly, including in the derby.
Don't think so bud, Catts gets a regular slating for silly challenges, or at least he used to until MON got hold of him
cannot remember the last time one of our players fell over in the box to get a pen like Taylor did - any wonder we hate the cheating dirty mag bastard a little?
Games over for now, cant change the result, or the refs decissions, but Im still not clear on what constitutes a red card. I know what the FA stance is. But every ref has differing interpretation of the rules. And thats what confuses me.
It is ALWAYS in the south stand were the decitions go against us, i am glad the visiting supporters are getting shifted next season.
Don't remember aby of our lads handballing off the line in a derby and claiming it hit their head? Swedish prick. In answer to you other lads, I don't think there was anything wrong with the two tackles I mentioned, but as the Kompany red card showed, contact with the player is SUPPOSED to be irrelevant in the modern game.
And thats the problem for me, the same rules and the same penalties for all players regardless. I bet Kompany is raging. And rightly so.
Dont be an arse, Sess and Vaughan got hit and could quite of easily had their ankles broken, yes the tackles were on the edge by our lads but both were clean.
Its a contact sport isnt it, I dont think any of the tackles deserved a red card. Just like Komany`s red wasnt even a free kick imho. It was a full blooded Derby, If no one tackled it would be a bloody boring game, and tackling is as much a part of football as nice passing and screamers/goals in general. Yes, there are bad tackles that deserve red cards, I just dont think any of them today, deserved red at all.
Watch the two tackles again and think how easy both players ankles could have been broken, both challenges were dangerous and when people can get red cards for other much minor offences these could have put players out for the season.
