No surprise about the Liverpool game as they will be gunning for a CL spot, but lord alone knows why the Man Utd game should be shown.
What a piss off for both sets of travelling fans, too. 12 noon on a Sunday, with a minimum five hour drive from Scouseland And all those Manchester fans, bless them, with the game not starting until 17.30, it'll be bedtime by the time they wend their way back to Gt Yarmouth Joking aside, ideal for TV subscribers, but a kick (x2) in the gonads for real, travelling supporters. Another season or two on, I'd not be surprised to see So'ton vs Newcastle kicking off at 21.00 hrs, as some fixtures do in Spain. ****ing crazy.
Same old problem Cromer - you can't have your cake and eat it. The Sky money is the biggest source of income to most Premiership Clubs and in exchange Sky, quite rightly, want to show matches at the best time for them. To protect the game generally the Authorities won't allow them to televise matches at 3 o'clock on a Saturday so we are left with Sunday and evening kick offs. The convenience of fans has long since ceased to be a consideration let alone the convenience of travelling fans.
I hadn't even realised that the Liverpool game will now be on Easter Sunday. Until I saw this Stupidity and greed - and not necessarily in that order.
I can feel the warm glow of positivity from here! We've got Seb and Yobo playing like rocks at the mo, don't forget
