Does anybody here tweet? I was just thinking about the amount of controversy it causes with is bad (e.g Joey Barton). However it was let you get closer to celebrities and your idols.

    What are your thought's?

(btw my twitter is gfclukey if anybody is in any way bothered!)

I'm on there everyday but very rarely post - I have no time for `celebrities` like Joey Barton but do keep up to date with bands/artists (good for tour dates etc), the occasional comedian, but it's mainly used for football discussions with me.

Twitter is a good social media tool but it lacks the privacy required to be an effective business tool. The problem with all these networks is that you can instantly reply / comment on events, and I expect many of the comments are ill thought out. The Joey Barton issue is simple, you can't carry out a conversation with you bosses in a public forum somit is bound to become awkward.

I find twitter very useful in terms of going to away games, I can always find a fan willing to give a few handy hints on parking and away friendly pubs

twitter is just a gold mine for the media tbh, however when used in the right way can be a very powerful tool. its a shame a few celebs dont think before they tweet let alone before they speak
