Piecing together the rumours from twitter this is basically what is being bounded about,

Fat Mike hasn’t appointed a manager as he is selling the club,

Supposedly the new manager (Remi Garde) has had talks with MA and the new prospective owners, as well as other candidates, but the hold up is that the new owners want Ashley to appoint their own choice of manager which saves them sacking someone with a 3 year contract, which would explain the delay.

Nufc players are training in Dubai at the moment which is causing speculation that the buyer/consortium is dubai based, apparently the owner wanted to meet the players, see them training and all of that. From what I have read with Man City, people from that region are very personal and want to have good relationships with the players and people they employ

Mike wants to take over Rangers, but only has a short period of time before he has to answer to the Scottish FA, so the deal could be done within weeks.

I believe there close to finalising a deal, but as always, mikes valuation is high, but its possible this could all happen and because of our finances, combined with FFP, we would be able to spend more than most teams in the league. Especially if a proper sponsorship is brought in along with match day revenue, merchandise and the potential for an increase in stadium size with the land Mike has recent put up for sale.

Also someone tweeted saying they saw Garde at Newcastle airport,

I take this all with a pinch of salt obviously it’s extremely farfetched, but i can see how someone can find a common link between the lot and make up a fairy story, but I am just summarising what i have read.

I use twitter a lot and haven't seen this mentioned once.

Would love it to be true but sadly I think this is massively far fetched.

You gotta love Twitter, the Wikipedia of social networking. Just make **** up and click.

I'm sure there is the odd story with a shred of truth in it, even the odd one which gets info ahead of other sources or official announcements. Its pinch of salt stuff as you note, you'd have to be ******ed to hang your hat on twitter as a reliable information source. The vast majority is just a whole load of bollocks.

I keep hearing from mates about how certain news sources or twitter sources carry more credibility. To be honest I just don't see it. Its like L'Equipe or GFFN for example. Many put these forward as sources who don't go to print unless its true. Its seems a load of horseshit to me on all known evidence. They all print bullshit. They may be a bit more ambiguous to have a get out clause but generally they print gossip. All of them! There's nothing wrong with it, football forums worldwide wouldn't survive or be nearly as funny without this information highway. I just don't understand the need to convince they are in the know. Particularly when dealing with someone like Mike Ashley.

Keep the rumours coming though. It passes the time. <laugh>

What I will say is that, for the huge financial investment that NUFC represents to MA, he really doesn't seem to give too much of a flying **** about us at the moment. I would expect him to protect his investment at all times. NUFC going down would mean a large financial commitment from him to retain the services of the players capable of taking us straight back up....................... because a club in the Championship is not worth anywhere near one in the PL. If he is in negotiation with a.n. other then the fact nobody knows about it would not surprise me at all. The guy is very secretive. I just cant see him allowing us to go into freefall and his lack of action potentially could mean just that................ so perhaps he is looking to get out soon. It does appear that the club is in virtual lockdown at the moment. There is just absolutely nothing coming out in the way of information, and perhaps more tellingly no players appear to be moving out either.

Please, please, please let some bored, but mega, mega wealthy sheikh buy us and pour cash in on a scale that makes Citeh look like chump change.
