Predictably, the nimby's in Twickenham are outraged;

They may have some valid concerns, but really most of the opposition is old fashioned snobbery and prejudice.
For info of the locals, the area around Stamford Bridge is mostly residential as well (with significantly higher property values than Twickenham).

Living in the area I know there's a lot of old people with piss all else to do but complain about every change that gets proposed, it's a bit sad really. Every few months there's some new petition they're collecting signatures for on the high street. Really nice area though and this is one petition I will sign, keep you scruffs out of my lovely town
