I've just realised the duplication of "live" TV games for Saints. The Brum home game was originally scheduled for tv, which makes Leeds, Brum, Reading and Blackpool games all doubled up home an away for TV.... Lack of imagination from Tv companies?

I like it when they show our away games. I have a ST so it's pointless for me when they show home games, it just annoys me that they change the timings. Reading on a Friday night?! Thanks Sky 
But it's great for people that don't go often. Hopefully showing games that we win or play well in might make more fans try and tickets.
I'm surprised our game against our BFF's (Blue Fratton Fiends!!) isn't being shown anywhere.

That was actually supposed to say Blue Fratton Friends, but fiends is probably funnier!!!!
They pick the teams near the top with big fan bases, a bit like with the Premier League. Fortunately this has worked in our favour this time for some of the away games, such as Blackpool.

It is getting a bit boring having the same teams, but its extra income for the club so I don't mind although I wish Pompey was on TV (even though I'm going)
I don't even want to think about it. My daughter is dancing in the closing ceremony at the Olympics, so can't do summer hols until after that... into footy season. I have told wife if we are in the Prem then I am flying back for the game!
Think the TV companies just like showing Saints, so don't really think about the opposition

I was at Plymouth uni as well 2 years ago... I know your pain. I was however surprised by the amount of Saints shirts walking about. I swear I saw more Southampton than any other team (including Plymouth)
It's always good when there are reasonable highlights if only because it confirms that 25000 fans all shouting "handball" at the same time Can be wrong! Never understood the choice between watching the match on TV and going to St Mary's, unless it's a financial thing. Totally different experience, and I prefer to do both, I can't imagine that I would not go just because it was on TV. Well, unless it was raining, of course.

It's not helped that I rarely have any fellow Saints around me, but I am an absolute bag of nerves when we are on TV. For some reason, far too perverse to understand, if I'm at the game I seem to think I can influence things (like giving Taylor grief and so he assaults Billy and gets sent off!). I'm glad we are on TV a lot as I've known a few scattered Saints in my life who just cannot get to games, but delighted that my circumstances mean I can get to games to explore my anxiety. Don't you just hate football sometimes?
I am a very nervous fan, but it is much easier being at the ground. I guess it's having a lot of people all in the same boat (or on the same bus). I dislike televized matches and rarely get past 20 mins. As for the radio...cannot even start listening.. it seems that everyone is camped a few feet from the Saints goal for 90 mins.

But that's the whole point. You go to the game, which win lose or draw (mostly winning these days of course) it's absorbing. If we win and play well, then I can look forward to enjoying the whole thing in my armchair later. If we have played badly or, perish the thought, lost then I will just delete it without watching. Just the same as I do when the rugby is on at the same time as a home game. Returning to the OP, I shall have plenty of time moan about the lack of coverage should we go up as an unfancied team next season, but for the moment any coverage is better than that in league 1!!!
