As I've said before, I've been watching Designated Survivor. Series 2 is from 2017. So far Russia has attacked Ukraine because its pissed off that NATO are too close and now, there's a "Super Flu" spreading across America worse than "Spanish Flu". I'm glad they stopped making it after Series 3 because f**k knows what else they were going to predict. Oh and they're pulling down Status because of their historic representation.

Russia did take Crimea in 2014 though, so they've just extended the idea on that. Still uncanny though, some of the narratives they've used.

Just about to start watching Yellowstone. Has anyone watched it? Should I watch the prequels (1883/1923) first?

Catching up on The Capture series two. It's all an bit Rick and Morty 'I anticipated your anticipation of my anticipation of your anticipation of my anticipation of your anticipation' at the moment. Plus everyone seems to have lines from Alan Sugars 'looks good on paper until you say it out loud' hard man line book.

You weren't exaggerating the end if the first episode <laugh>.

Just started watching it last night. Thought it was a decent pace anyway, lot happened with the girls in first episode but the ending I wasn't expecting.

I've watched the first season and really enjoyed it. I've not got around to watching beyond that yet though.

See Bob Geldof has been getting slagged off for misgendering Sam Smith!

I think Bob Geldof is a ****ing ****er tbh, one of those celebs who think all.the plebs should give their money and all he should do is give a bit of time and reap the ****ing glory from it!

However, so **** if the bloke hasn't got on to calling someone them, they, it or whatever the **** Sam Smith likes. Referring to someone as them, they and it would be an insult less than a decade ago.

Question on this, nearly finished the 2nd series and one thing is pissing me off. Why the **** was he trying to dig under the fence when escaping from wolf? The fence is about a foot taller than him and has a batten across the middle to put his foot on. Why didn't he climb it?

He even takes a shovel with him later. Am I missing something!

Ha. I must be honest I don't think too much about it. Good point though. Just climb you lazy get. Thought the characters in the programme are really good.

    Picard season 3.

I said I'd never watch it. I was determined not to watch it.

However, a few people I trust and who hated S1 an 2 and much as I did said it was brilliant, so I gave it a go on a 'first poor episode and it's gone' basis. I haven't switched it off yet. It still suffers from a few problems associated with modern Trek - sometimes they seem to forget what's happened seconds before, the dialogue can be howlingly bad, and they keep pushing awful characters in our face and expecting us to love them.

This is a vast improvement though. I feel like I'm watching Jean Luc Picard for the first time since TNG finished (Larry Picard, Action Hero from the movies doesn't count).

Watched A Town called Malice tonight, new show on Sky. Dumb as a box of rocks but good fun. Great 80s soundtrack. Bit like a tongue in cheek Goodfellas crossed with Only Fools.

Seen that advertised, looked canny. A bit like a cockney Scraface type of thing. Will give it a go I think. I enjoyed Sexy Beast and The Business and it looks similar to those from what I can see from the ads.

Pretty much spot on. It's not Shakespeare but it doesn't pretend to be it just wants to entertain you and nothing more. Nails the 80s vibe too which is fun. In one scene you'll hear two or three classic songs.
