We're all aware of the alleged £170m winging our way from the broadcasters as a result of promotion. However there's no such thing as a 'free lunch'. A week or so ago when going through the EPL Handbook (looking for the rules about loans) was amazed about the amount of space taken up by broadcasting conditions - about a third of the Handbook. Already the Club has had to create more room, put in fancy seats etc to meet criteria and visibility of the dugout. Give up the Johnny Haynes cafe and kit it out as a media centre. And no doubt many other alterations/additions; the latest being a new "TV studio", which requires planning permission. All costs money and after the transfers, 'aint going to much left in the kitty. Well, enough to get you and I by but probably less than anticipated.
