Arsenal 0 Norwich 1. Doing the business.....................another "unfashionable" player some lost patience with.
Turner certainly seems to be quick enough and effective for Norwich, in fact he could be hammering the nails down on our coffin lid at this very minute
He was disastrous in his first half a dozen games at Norwich, motd was like a highlight reel of Turner ****eness. He has picked his game up by all accounts and has been doing well of late
That's fantastic for him but he simply wasn't good enough for us. Nowt to do with fans or his style of play.
Turning circle of an articulated lorry, decision making of a lemming, slower than a very slow thing. We were expecting this great defensive header of the ball and got someone who on a regular basis couldn't even read the flight of the ball! Even the worst players manage to do something right once in a while.
Did he really get the chance here though, we never give players a chance to really gel, the urgency for which we fans crave success(that we deserve) could be contribute of our relegation woes..............**** I sound like Mrs Doubtfire. Arsenal pen.......................Arteta scores.............. Ignore lads, nerves.............

Sorry mate he just wan't good enough for the Prem, Championship quality at best and even there I would think twice.
Villa draw Reading draw S/hampton draw QPR beat Norwich beat. Time to step up to the mark at the skunks and take all three points.
I hear what you are saying MR and I do not disagree, however "Not good enough for the prem" is a phrase that could be applied to quite a few of our players based upon their performances this season. In my book you can get away with having average players in this position if you have quality in other positions(enabling us to score goals), yet if you have quality centre backs it will never make up for inadequacies in midfield or up front. If I were PDC I would keep our centre backs, try to improve their understanding and tactical awareness, especially if Brown manages to get fit. Cuellar, O'Shea, Bramble & Kilgallon should only be replaced if one moves on, not added to at the expense of other positions - change for change sake should no longer be considered, it must be a tangible improvement by an unquestionable margin - are Bramble, Brown (duo to injuries)Cuellar & Kilgallon a tangible improvement on Turner - after taking into consideration the opinion expressed on this board of them and the Premiership table then no they are not. PDC has seen the quality of our cloth(the players) he must fashion it accordingly to make a suit fit for the premiership.
He did get a chance mate, He was a regular starter. Fair play to him he's having a cracking 2nd half to the season and thought he'd get an England call up with the last defensive crisis but that bell end up the road somehow got the call up.
I agree there are other Sunderland players who I would class as not Prem quality. All players even the best have what I call brainfarts, where they make inexplicable decisions that cost their teams. I always felt Turner was a brainfart waiting to happen. Then you have the other side of the coin in Bramble one game looks world class then has a mare totally outclassed. I do agree about brining in players who are clearly better than what we have rather than another workmanlike water carrier. I and a few of my mates had a right good old fashioned argument about Larsson the other day, all of us full of drink and shouting the odds, as, as we all know the louder you shout the righter your argument is. . One of the lads thinks he should be first name on the team sheet, the rest of us were dumfounded. But fair dues to the lad he stuck by his guns, mind he couldn't actually quote any recent games where his argument was backed up.
Sorry, this article is bollocks. Turner was decent at first, then ****e, then worse than ****e, then utterly appaling. We fleeced Norwich for every penny over 4p we got for him. Fact.
Good luck to the lad . I was not sad to see him go though. His pace was an embarrassment, I'd cringe whenever he come up against a pacey striker. Glad to see he's doing ok at Norwich though.
