    From W.O.L this evening.

    Cardiff City target Ben Turner
CARDIFF CITY are on the brink of signing Coventry defender Ben Turner tonight after the 23-year-old completed a medical.

Turner is now set to complete his move to the Bluebirds in the next 24 hours, with striker Jon Parkin moving in the opposite direction.

The two clubs are understood to have agreed a £750,000 deal, plus Parkin.

my mate in work is a die hard Coventry fan and he says that Turner is the dogs bollocks and its incredibly cross at losing him to us especially as we also pinched Gunnarsson off them as well. With Parkin heading the other way its a tasty bit of business with Coventry getting the ****ty end of the stick.

yea it seems the Coventry fans are gutted to see him leaving and a few fans believe we have the bargain of the season as they see him in the 3 million pound bracket and although he has been out for a while with cruciate ligament damage Malkey is no mug and the player has been put through a rigorous medical at C C S and City are more than happy with his fitness so it looks like a great signing.

Feel sorry for Parkin, didn't get to play enough to see how he'd get on and the guy loves it in Cardiff

I will mirror the above view, I think Parkin is a massive loss and Coventry's gain we will have to wait and see who really has got the best deal out of this.
I wonder if Bellers will also be arriving today ?

Really? Apologies if you were being sarcastic here and I have taken it the wrong way but I dont see how Parkin can be considered a loss in any way. 12 League apperances 1 goal says it all for a striker. All he brings is size to our team and we have got ourself another big lump of a player in Gestades who is younger, in better shape and more skillfull.

Parky is a good team guy but not of the playing standard we need. Look at the way Alan Lee played against us last week. If Parky could play like that we would not be off loading him.

However he is a cult figure and is sure to be welcomed with chants of "Beast" when lining up for Cov against us.

Will be gutted to see the Beast <monster> leave but as said above, Gestede is like a more mobile, younger version really so could not see him getting much game time.

Does eem like a decent guy to have around but if we are getting a centre back with pace and talent in return then I'm happy with it...

Now we just need another pacy wide player and another striker and I'll be well happy...

Hoepfully a certain Mr Bellamy won't move today :emoticon-0158-time: and will be turning up for training next week after signing on loan again <ok>

I hope he goes and does well..He would only be a 4th or 5th striker with us.

How much are we paying him by the way?

Ben Turner is a Bluebird - and that's official. Full news WalesOnline.

Pity that Parkin deal didn't go ahead, but Malky Mackay has landed one of his big targets. Still more to come, but maybe not today.
