Nothing for me yet. Just wondering what people think about Velator tomorrow. Looks to have been given a chance to me.

Quite like De La Bech in that one Bob - I thought he was a soft ground specialist but ran a nice 2nd on Gd/soft last time. I think Velator is interesting on chase debut but I can see him finishing well down the field in his first couple of novice chases and then popping up in a handicap somewhere.......................

    Certainly not Bob.

Tell you what though mate, if the SPorting Life tissue is correct about Southfield Theatre being around the 7/4 mark I'd be all over it like a cheap coat <ok>

Some nice horses running for us next week starting off with - VELATOR & ALPANCHO both running in a 0-125 novice chase at Exeter, they are both horses to look forward to over fences. Hopefully they can get off to a good safe start and build on this experience going into the spring (both schooling well at home).

On the negative side "a good safe start" isnt exactly what you want to hear, on the positive side "Noel Fehilly" on board.

Hoping the yard are in form this week as I am looking for MIDNIGHT MINX to boost the Cheltenham coffers at the weekend!

He is held by Abnaki on a strict line through SDC Oddy and taking that form literally has 6.5L to find.

However it was his first run over fences and Abnaki is a bit of an old dog if truth be told. The ground is markedly different tomorrow as well.

Really tight race that I'll happily swerve..nothing takes my fancy tmz at first glance tbh.

Stick,I agree that this could be an sighter for Velator although he certainly has the ability to take it.

HENOK Exeter 3.00 7-1 hasn't attracted the support you would expect for a Pipe plot yet this evening but I guess there is still time. He has been running really well without quite cutting it in Handicap Hurdles but everything tomorrow looks sure to suit. The trip is far enough n ot to be too short and short enough not to be too far. His run behind Thunderstorm last time reads pretty well and tomorrow beside the trip being more suitable there are two extra factors that make him really interesting. Firstly, for the first time Tom Scudamore is in the saddle which could be quite significant and secondly they have slapped cheekpieces on for the first time. He doesnt need to find a great deal more and these two factors could well be enough to see him get on the scoresheet.
Later on the card at 5.00 there is a worthy hot favourite in the conditional. He however represents no value whatsoever and also has a change of jockey from his recent win. Additionally that was at Towcester which is nothing like Exeter. With a return off Henok I will be looking to have a little each way dabble on RUBY CROWN 14-1 5.00 Exeter its a long time since this one was in the winners enclosure but accordingly she has a long way in the handicap and for the first time in a while she gets decent ground. Ed Cookson is a very decent young jock and she must have a big chance of making the frame. Worth an each way punt in this field at fancy odds.

Wonder will Billy Hills be sticking up a big Cheltenham fancy tomorrow at a fancy price like they did with the Fly this morning?? Recall last year they did each day in the week before Cheltenham.

They will indeed. All week they are putting "a fancy price on a fancied horse"

Is that the same beast that went off like a scolded cat in last year's Fred Winter and was pretty fancied for it or am I mistaken??

Wonder who it will be Nass? They had the Fly up the night before? Usually it follows in order they run so tomorrow's will be a Wednesday runner? I'd be thinking Pont Alexandre or Dynaste but I'm really hoping it's Sprinter Sacre at evens <laugh>
