It should go without saying that Tuesday night is a big game and that all City fans should be attending with 100% focus on getting behind the lads.

Just thinking back to Swansea in 2003. Packed house with people locked outside, they were previously at the top I think, whatever they were we certainly went top after we won. Stuey got his usual trademark cracker. But the whole night was one of 100% backing.

That was one to live in the memory, but easily surpassed by the 2nd leg of the play offs against Watford. 2-0 up, early away goal, potentially putting the skids under us. Not a bit of it, the absolutely rampant support roared us home. It was electric, absolutely cracklin, there has never been another night like it since.

So to the fooking moaners, put aside how **** the beer is, why Bruce picks Oilyvagina, how previous loyal servant Damien Delaney still don't look right in any other colour than Black and Amber, (and so on ... the list is endless) and get behind the team.

This is a chance for us to keep that gap between the fast approaching pack behind us and again signals the clubs (those on the pitch and us off it) intent.

We are all behind the team mate, nobody is saying "We are ****, I hate us." If things aren't going right, people are always going to moan, it's the way of the world.

As for singing/chanting etc, some kid who sits next to me was shouting all game. Which is good, except pretty much every other word he shouted was "FORWARD!!". There were others around me shouting it as well.
Now, I'm not sure why that bothered me so much, but he then had the ignominy, when I told him that they aren't going forward because 1) They can't get through the 11 men they've stuck behind the ball and 2) Because we want to keep the ball and keep possession, not lump it forward like Burnley did. He then said "Oh I sit next to you every week and you never even sing, how can you call yourself a fan?"

" I'm sat in the cold watching my team play sub standard to their normal selves. We've barely had a shot on goal and we're 1-0 down to a goal from a former, average player, which part of that would make me want to sing?" Just because I don't chant stuff doesn't mean I don't support the club. I go to reserves matches in Chesterfield ffs. Everybody supports their club in their own way, I'm pretty content with the way I support City, if I wasn't happy with my support, I'd quit and follow York.

Also, something else that ****s me off; I sit in the middle of the South Stand, just to the right of the goal. Whoever it is that insists on squeezing past me 10 times a match, despite the fact you sit right at the other end, please consider walking the extra 9 steps past S3 to the other set of steps and enter on the side where your seat is. Please pass this on to the other 12 family members you have who also haven't worked out this seemingly difficult puzzle.

N.B. This isn't a dig at you Arnold mate, I just wanted to get it off my chest and haven't really had an opportunity to do so, can't wait to see the jumped up little **** on Tuesday.

Forget the Burnley banana skin, the real Hull city will turn up on Tuesday night, no Football League show cameras hoodoo, beating Palace is more important then beating Burnley, Holloways going to get it.

my bike fell to bits on the way there on Saturday. I had to lock it up in town and walk very quickly to make the match. Didn't have any money on me for bus fare. The match was utter crap and then I walked home in the rain. So I was annoyed !

Tuesday as got to better !

strange fans are we not, you just never know how the fans will get behind the team from one game to the next, sometimes its great other times its so quiet, i still think there are many fans who want to shout/sing ect but feel stupid if others around them are quiet in case it embarrasses them. I do agree though that Tuesday and every other game the team need to be backed more vocally, i know it helps if were winning or at least having shots on target but the one thing i will say is on Tuesday don't come away from the game complaining of how quiet the crowd was unless you have got behind the team in the best way you can and if your not the the type to shout then at least do a bit more than you usually do, there is a bloke who sits near me and never sings shouts or does anything, he goes to the same gym has me and when he said a couple of weeks ago wasn't it quiet the crowd didn't get behind the team did they and i replied with "well did you do your bit" at which he didn't know what to say, i know its hard for some and indeed some people don't want to but to the fans who complain about lack of noise then don't come away from the game on Tuesday like my mate at the gym, Cheer the lads on and give 100% like the team has too<ok>

I'd like to say these things happen for a reason. One is that it keeps our feet on the ground and we should be up for the match midweek. If we're not there's something wrong.

I'd like to see a packed house full of optimistic City fans but we've got nowhere near a full house this season. We got better last season when we were much much poorer as a unit. It's bizarre.

Virtually a top of the table clash between two footballing teams, and Palace having Holloway who is known for playing all out attack. Add in that it's a Category C game so it's the cheapest tickets you can get for a game this season and it had better be a good crowd. If it's not we should put an end to the "tickets are too expensive" thing. If I were short of cash I'd have been targetting this game as being the best one to get to before Xmas for weeks.

The second time Holloway will be back at the Circle this Season too so if you look at the 3-2 against Blackpool, you can tell it's going to be another similar game. Well, either that or it'll end up being a 0-0 with a shed load of chances fluffed... <laugh>

I'm bringing both sons to this one, and they've never been to a game where we've lost! They're last match was away at Elland Road!

I don't expect we'll play as poorly again against Palace.

And I think they'll show more attacking intent than Burnley too, which could work for us, but could also be highly dangerous.

The feeling in my water is a score draw.

Aside from anything else, a greater effort would be appreciated. I think that was where Burnley out-did us.

I think it depends on what side Bruce plays.

We have real problems with certain players at the moment, either because of injury or because of form. If Bruce can shuffle the pack to put the best possible squad out there, we can beat anybody. If he fails to do that then we will struggle against Palace.
We have not been good against the decent sides this season and Palace are a good side.

Agreed. After the poor effort @ Cardiff we went to Birmingham and blitzed them for 33 mins in the first half. Just need to to that again without the 2 give-aways at the other end.

IMO, Evans or McKenna should replace Olifinjana but i think it will be Meyler for this game. With Bruce jnr and McShane big injury doubts and Rosie not 100% the defence looks an interesting choice. Hopefully Rosie can make it in a back 3 with Brady in at left wing back.

    Stockdale

    Rosenoir Faye Chester

    Elmo Meyler Koren Quinn Brady

    Aluko Simpson

    (4 x current PL players / 3 ex.PL players)

Now that looks much better But i would prefer Evans to start as he was playing very well B4 Birmingham. imo.

bench:- Amos, Dawson, McKenna, Evans, Olifinjana, Mcllean, Proschwitz,

That was the way it was looking Steve Bruce said post game. His knee needed ice again. With Forest to also consider i would suggest that SB will go more attacking tuesday and keep Bruce jnr for Forest. If Rosie is also out then we have problems. Olifinjana and Evans can play defence IF required.

I would have thought Bruce will be thrown in unless he is 100% injured

I don't think you qualify as a current Premier League player, unless you've made at least one appearance in the Premier League.

Stockdale has played many PL games for Fulham. Ok they were last season when Schwartzer was out.

Elmo and Meyler came on off the bench for Sunderland @ Arsenal on the opening day of the PL season.

Brady is pushing it i would accept.
