Where does the time go eh? So from 12 months ago where has life taken you lot, what have you achieved, the **** thrown at you, the good things, the bad things? For me it's pretty straight forward, my better half is still bed bound, immobile and needs 24/7 care, I have won a battle with cancer but need to go back in for another op as being a silly sod, I did to much to soon after my initial op and managed to stomach rupture myself. Still cleaning my cameras and lenses every week, yearning for the day when I can use them again professionally and I will, seeing my 5 year old girl grow literally in front of my eyes, she's very tall, wears 7/8 clothes, watching my team beat relegation again, getting married so I could tell Lollie, I ain't going anywhere and she will be looked after and having a few good lads off here at the wedding, seeing QWOP grimace as we did them twice over again and meeting again a lot of sound lads from this forum.. Life and times, you cannot beat them.. fire away...............
Great read mate. Yip kids one year older, just as manic. Since last summer my better half was diagnosed as partially sighted due to her MS. Weird how you come out of a consultation celebrating a diagnosis as until then people think its all in the head. We now have a guide dog, 6 weeks now, and he has changed our lives as she now has some independance back and I dont feel so bad working my 4 day week. Onwards and upwards.....
You're an example to all with your attitude to life and devotion to your family mate. Don't forget to look after yourself though! Your wife is the heart of your family but you're the rock they stand on. B/W Sandy
Been there so many times with Lollie mate and the very best to your lass, bad things always seem to happen to the most loveliest of people.. Hey, having you post on here has made me smile Sandy.. There's always people you tune into in life & you are well up there mate..
I'm just gonna pop in now and again from now on Joe, but no more than that. I'd like to be more involved but my personal circumstances obviously dictate otherwise. I'll keep watching what's going on here, coz some of the banter is great. One of these days, I'll catch up with you guys.
You better be joining us on my match threads marra. No place for politics and religion their, just the Sunderland faithful willing on the lads. You're part of that and folk want you around.
still working and got told I was hard of hearing in my right ear, that must be the one the wife bends all the time. still golfing and loving it but my knees seem to be giving me more pain now, 52 and falling to bits lol. having said that should be grateful as am better off than a few lads on this board. Hats off V.Joe, admire your love and dedication mate
Im still the same. Drinking to much and always looking for the next big contract. Not spending enough time with the people i should.
