possibly the single most important game Wycombe will play this season in the chase to win the league? Obviously the league isn't won over one game, but yeah I think Tuesday is a great chance to close the gap by 6 points
Got to be confident of beating them. The centre of defence could be interesting though if Winfield is suspended and Kierney injured. I'll whisper this but maybe, just maybe Leon will get another chance.
I generally back GW but this Johnson situation is ridiculous. Winfield and LJ are the best two Wycombe owned centre backs at the club and I believe they should be the first choice pairing.
I agree too MBW however we don't know what's gone on. LJ might be the best player in the league but if he's upset the boss then he shouldn't get a game. It depends what has happened. I don't know what's happened but I do have total faith in Waddock and if he's fallen out with a player, well, there shouldn't be any player bigger than anyone else, especially the manager, no matter how good he is, and the manager makes the final call. It's not LJ that's got us to second in the league, it's Wadds. Therefore I respect any decision he makes. However saying that, as you said he might get another chance soon.
I don't see Tuesday as the biggest game we'll play all season. It would be great to win the league but coming third gets the same prize. I think a win on Tuesday is more important for increasing the gap to fourth not for closing in on Chesterfield. As for the defence, if LJ is fit then he must play. If he and GW have had a falling out then they both need to be professional about it for the good of the team. Jock's comments are spot on about this. My preferred partnership when all available would be Westwood and Winfield though.
ps i back waddock 100 per cent and whatever has happened its a shame lj is out in the cold but its all about the club and not one man
a blues win would round off a perfect week for me after seeing the gooners throw it away in comical fashion yesterday.after chesterfield losing at home it should give our lads a lift to go on and get a decent result ,but i expect it to end in a draw
