Just the one for me today in the last at Newcastle. Malaysian Boleh 11/2. After the 4 yesterday I think that particular well has dried up for now from Appleby yard.
Morning all, just looked at MR and one that is standing out at me runs in the last. I'll probably get this completely wrong but EUR GONE WEST for the Pipe/Scudamore combo. This one needs to improve his jumping firstly but last time at Uttoxeter he was jumping out to his right and today he goes right handed which will help. He is also slightly dropping down in grade and it seems quite a long way to go for the trainers and jockeys only ride of the day. Also the step up in distance may help too. Currently 10/1 so ew play for me. Also fancy MINELLA FIVEO to complete a CD hatrick in the 3.25 currently 9/2.
Hello, everyone. So then the ratings update on the horses I mentioned yesterday. Coole Cody up 2 lbs to 139. Nice. Give Me A Copper unchanged on 145. Surprising. Kilcrea Vale down 2 lbs to 135. Wahey! So, team, the question of the day is what do we think is the eyecatching entry of the weekend??? For me has to be The Last Samuri in the ‘Denman Chase’ at Newbury. If he goes to Royal Berkshire I’m sure he will be well beaten resulting in a perchings reduction ahead of the release of next week’s GN weights. Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh, the rogues. As I regularly say to my regular readers on a regular basis, ‘They’re not all like Lieutenant Henderson, you know!’ Good luck all.
Yep , the Denman chase is not really looking competitive is it ? Connections using it for various future plans and picking up some dosh in the process , harry fry as you allude has one aim for that horse and it’s in april at aintree ,NR and CDO are seemingly fighting it out for first or second prize money , i’m sure neither parties wants a “hard “ race , .....
Morning 4.00 Market Rasen-Johnny Yuma Each Way @ 13-2 [Bet 365] Trainer Katy Price places her horses well
Colin Tizzard believes Native River will relish his return to Newbury this weekend in the Denman Chase. "The course suits him. He is almost unbeaten there." said the trainer. Can you be "almost unbeaten". Surely you are either unbeaten or not........
BREAKING NEWS…STOP PRESS…UPDATE…BREAKING NEWS…STOP PRESS…UPDATE…BREAKING NEWS... There’s another one… I know that I tend to look at these ‘Pertemps Qualifiers’ and get a bit carried away (more plots than an Agatha Christie novel and all that) but there is a hugely intriguing horse entered in such a contest at Exeter at the weekend (potentially corking card at the Devon venue by the way). Those total and utter rogues the Pipe’s have put my old fave, Champers On Ice, what a lovely name for a gelding by the way, in it. He hasn’t run since December ’17 but was formerly very decent – 3rd in the Albert Bartlett, at the Festival, in 2016, Listed placed over fences and actually went off at just 7/1 for the ’17 NH Chase. Poor in 2 subsequent runs since then but his revised hurdling perch is just 136, I say 136. Which looks highly exploitable. My initial thought was that those old rogues would ensure he had a relatively easy race, at the weekend, and trotted into 6th place. But if he does this the old boy almost certainly won’t make the Final off that 136 or even lower (which is likely to happen if he finishes 6th). To get into the Cheltenham race then Champers On Ice would have to place at the very least and get a couple of pounds rise in the weights in the process. Intriguing to see how they go with this horse who for a time looked on the cusp of hitting the big time. Don’t really think he’s a betting proposition (I’ve always believed that wagering in a ‘Pertemps Qualifier’ was the quickest way to the poorhouse…more plots than an Agatha Christie novel and all that) but will watch with keen interest…
afternoon, lads! market rasen,2 55: there doesnt seem to be a lot between the market leaders here, but a narrow vote goes to CLARENDON STREET,whose best form,is surely his second place to highly regarded stable mate birchdale two starts ago at warwick.and also the third horse that day has won again since.so,with further progress highly likely for his top yard, should run a massive race again today..
Robeam 6 45 nc 7/1 form of last race working out with fahey in good form , this must have a good chance of a first win
