To Sticks point he really doesnt have much ammo - most of the horses in the yard are old, fully exposed and on the decline. He's done pretty well with decent animals in Dubai. He has had some rotten luck like losing Emprie Storm in transit to Dubai and not havnig a stable jockey i think really hinders him. He doesnt have enough horses to employ one which means alot of the time jockeys havent sat on horses until race day and leaves him open to the 'Ginger Pat' antics.

Yeah, it's strange - if I was going to start training first thing I would do is get a stable jockey - even if that was an appprentice to protect yourself but also to give someone the chance to get to know the horses and give you consistent feedback on them
