Good Luck <ok>

Ripon 400
Origintrail looks very good for this , steps back up in trip after a good 2nd over 1f less. Boasts a c/d win and 4s looks fair

Frankie Dettori hinted that he might be persuaded to ride on in 2024 at York on Saturday

Personally, I honestly wish he'd just retire and be done with it. He's had a remarkable career as a jockey, won just about everything going. I am sure he is smart enough to do other things in horseracing? I mean Ruby Walsh, Jason Weaver, etc. have, so no reason why Dettori can't?

James watt runs this evening I think his rating is 48 and he won of 72 which I think would be equal to a drop off 24lb has to bounce back to form eventually maybe tonight is the night

Very little to get the racing purists excited right now, let alone attracting new fans to the sport. If Frankie sticks around it can only be good for the game. There seem to be very few personalities in the sport these days .............. I've been a racing fan since the mid-80s but I can't remember a more boring period.

He should just retire. And shut up.

He's recently put his house up for rent, in Newmarket, and said the plan is to move nearer to London to persue a 'media career'. And by media career I think he is aiming for Saturday evening primetime, on BBC1 or ITV1, rather than commenting on the racing, mid-week, on ITV4!!!

I wouldn't be totally surprised if in 6-12 months he's got his, to use that classic quote, 'own TV quiz show' or something along those lines. Cor blimey that will be a time to reach for the old 'orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrf button...

Will he get the chance to follow in the hallowed footsteps of Terry Wogan and Les Dawson and become the steward of the old "Blankety Blank" cheque book and pen?

Old boy Bradley Walsh currently got that gig. That's 1 of about 10,000 jobs he's currently got.

Seems Dettori is going all showbizzy. Split with his agent of 30 years (although very amicably apparently) and signed up with a top, and I quote, 'talent management' firm.

Is that still going? I saw it recently but Bradley looked about 20 odd years younger
