Placidia back in a maiden at Lingfield, she bumped into the well handicapped Insaany who was smartly ridden from the front at Nottingham. She is a half sister to Tinghir who won over course and distance so hopefully the track is fine, she should have come on for the run and this looks a good chance for Lanigan to get a much needed winner.

Shout Boris

Pistolet noir should really be winning the 620 at 11/2
650 fairwood bob should never be 50s ok there's the inexperienced jockey but 50s is taking the biscuit ew
840 sambe lucky should take this and 9/4 365 look very generous

Quite right, Boris. There were better post-war sprinters than LOCHSONG (I'm devoted to Right Boy myself) but not many. Genuine class, amazingly consistent and, unusually, willing to run to her best for several different jockeys. It was a pleasure to watch her.
RIP.

Sure was - early 90s was all about Lochsong, Zafonic and Barathea for me!!

RIP Lochsong. Loved that filly. I also remember Right Boy Rainer. Top sprinter. Made me think back to another great sprinter in Pappa Fourway. We don't hear much of those but I think all 3 might have beaten most if not all we have at present.
