Not sure Willie Mullins has had many runners at Sedgefield over the years so I thought it significant that he sends over Mr Escobar today for the opening novice hurdle. Then I googled the owners, Bowes Lodge Stables, and found out they are 30 minutes up the A1 from the racecourse. Makes sense.

Perhaps of more interest for the future is a Gigginstown runner for Mullins (but does Gordon get their best ones?) in the shape of Karniquet in the 12.45 at Tramore. Has a couple of second places to his name from his time in France and doesn't come from the worst family on the dam side (half brother won a class 2 handicap chase off 128 for Venetia Williams).

Mullins has two in the bumper at Tramore and hot favourite is Sortudo after finishing 2nd on his only points start.

It strikes me that all 3 of the above-mentioned Mullins runners are odds-on at the moment (Mr Escobar 8/15, Karniquet 4/6 and Sortudo 4/7). At those odds the treble pays around 3/1 so here's my question:

What do you think would be more profitable? Backing the win treble or laying all 3?

I'll say laying all 3 will give better returns.

    Karniquet won 4/5

    14:30 Sedgefield - Knacker Trapper

(Guys, you'll all be please to know, I'm sure, nice and short today as my kurtznotizen app has decided to show me just one bloody great blank page! Have really tried to correct this, but to no avail. Answers from Bing/Microsoft were useless and did not help me to resolve the problem. Oh well, that's life on the IT with an old PC. Will be buying a new computer soon, I guess) :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Yes, lovely name, Oddy, but he did not run a lovely race. Out with the washing, sadly! Know you're busy at work, but do you know how I can fix this silly kurtznotizen thing? Any help would be very much appreciated.

Kurznotizen? Is that like the word pad app on Windows? What’s the problem? Send me a PM I will try to help after my Physio session. (Not at all busy at work, we have entered preliminary insolvency).
