Good evening everyone. Been given one for tomorrow already in the form of Emkanaat in the 3:20 @ Folkestone have been told its a good thing. Will look at some of the racing to give my own thoughts if I have any that are strong enough to be shared. Good Luck to all
Catty that horse looks ripe for a big handicap, I am a bit surprised that he isn't running in a bigger handicap but I guess he is still lightly raced and perhaps needs experience. I would love to back it but I vowed never to back a Hills ridden horse again. Therefore I will let it win for you
You see that is the problem Nass, you get a horse with the form the conditions with regard race and weight and you really fancy going in for a bet but Dickie is riding. I obviously have less restraint than your good self or am more an optimist as i am having a go with it, some of us never learn.
Nass: With Internationaldebut wanting further i cannot see anything having the pace to live with him! Hopefully jump out well and make all as he did last time here I have a feeling he will go off at odds on
dogging venue - would anyone have heard that expression if it weren't for Donald & Jacqueline Stewart from Benidorm?
Nass: Hope you had a good bet on Nasri, remembered your comments but thought it looked a tricky race, nice one RV: Apology accepted, for me i believe you were easily led, when you first arrived we had some great chats and you talked sense!! All the very best with your studies and the Rugby and i know you'll be back at some stage. Best wishes
5.10 Newton Abbot Surfboard (NAP) The last race of the day at Newton Abbot is a competitive handicap hurdle over 2m 6f and 13 runners are due to go to post. The favourite early doors is Jonjo's Caddie Master who is seeking a hattrick under the champ. He is now 16lbs higher than his victory over 2m1f on this course 2 runs ago and has yet to tackle today's extended trip. The one I like at a juicy 8/1 early doors is David Pipe's Surfboard. A C&D winner 3 runs ago off 87, he was then raised a whopping 15lbs and upped in class at Fontwell and was well beaten behind Award Winner (not given a hard time). His last run was also off 102 (today's mark) but significantly he was fitted with a tongue strap for the first time and produced a career-best effort when a close-up 3rd behind Winning Show (whom he was concedeing 16lbs). The strap clearly had a marked effect on his performance and today Pipe adds first-time blinkers into the mixer and I think they could do the trick. As I've been writing this Surfboard has been clipped by most firms and 8/1 is only now available at Boylesports and I think maybe a gamble could develop during the morning. Best of luck one and all
RV: Also i know Wayward has no hard feelings with you, he would be on but is away on holiday in Egypt.
Can't work that one out - money across the baord for Surfboard (into 11/2 with Boylesports) and now its a non-runner <erm>
Well now that my nap is not running I'm going for an audacious (= stupid ) 4-timer with my free €5 bet from totesport: 2.20 Folk Billyrayvalentine 2.40 N. Abb Nearby 3.10 N. Abb Bob's Law 3.20 Folk Emkanaat
Been looking at Newton Abbot. I noticed that the 11 year old Sir Bumble (16:40) must know every blade of grass on the track, having done more laps of the place than A. J. Foyt at Indianapolis. Has he some sort of chance, or is his age against him?
Morning, people. Wonderful to see a ‘selling hurdle’ on the old agenda at God’s own racecourse, Newton Abbot, once again on their penultimate fixture of 2011 this afternoon. Usually in said heats there are more plots than in an Agatha Christie novel and it will be interesting to see if there are any such occurrences around 4 o'clock. Although today's action is 'above average' for a Tuesday in September and there are a few to watch out for with an eye to the old future I can't actually firmly recommend anything and so today am waving the old 'no bet' banner. Because as one wise old sage once said to me 'if in doubt, back nowt'. Good luck to anyone who does wager though.
