A quick visit to this bustling thread... It is interesting that Bath have soft ground once more, looking at the data this will be the busiest year at Bath for soft or heavy ground in the last twenty years, and that is with two meetings still to go after today. It makes it interesting, and if it is properly testinng I like Albus Anne in the 2:40 and Sarah's Verse in the 4:25. Both have the course form.
Never been to Bath racecourse, and have always found it darn difficult to pick a winner there! So, watching these two with interest. Hope they both run really well!
It is a lovely place for a racecourse, on the hill overlooking the great city. Well worth a visit if you ever find yourself in that part of the world.
16:45 Sedgefield - Beholden e/w Unreliable type but has a squeak if deciding to give of his best. The jockey should certainly get the best out of him. Wears visor as in previous runs. Gavin Sheehan rides for the Jamie Snowden yard. 6/1 best price early-doors, in most places on the ATR site.
Foxtrot email states " Beholden (Jamie Snowden) runs at Sedgefield this afternoon. He has been a little disappointing his summer but looks well handicapped if he can return to his spring form. The return of Gavin Sheehan to the saddle is a boost and hopefully he can run well in an open looking race. Good luck to Beholden and his owners this afternoon!"
One from two isn't bad. The ride on Albus Anne was very taking, didn't panic and made the most of the finishing "straight".
