One for me tomorrow in the shape of 2.10 Catterick Carmela Maria 16/1. Write up to come but I feel she could be very well supported as she attempts to win this race for the 3rd consecutive year.

She carried MY shekkels last year - hopefully it didn't do her any lasting damage!

She paid for my christmas last year when I put her up at 25/1. Wouldn't be as confident this year despite the price being a bit shorter but think she'll definitely run a very big race.

some truly meagre racing tomorrow-- guess its that time of year, but like every race that occurs , there is one winner--really hope Carmelia 'Moody' Maria does her stuff-- i shall put up two for the morrow-Bonnets Vino for Pam Sly at her local track, going up in trip on her handicap debut--and one i put up last time Emperaritz--John Holt's only got done on the line by an excellent Robert Winston ride, hoping havlin can hang on this time !

Evening all after the disappointment of my last selection at Cheltenham a painful lump of cash in the bookies satchels as well!onwards and upwards putting up one in the 1.40 tomorrow the horse being save the bees in the novice hurdle, had quite a descent flat campaign goes on the soft ground ok as well should be around 14/1 so a smallish each way wager for me.slight concern d Carroll hasn't had a winner for 28 days but may well run a stormer with Costello in the plate, held up produced at the last leads on the run in if all goes to plan,if only it was that simple happy punting everyone.

1:40 Catterick - Fennell Bay should be winning this, no price on PP but not expecting it to be a big one

Knight Valliant @ 11/4 (GP)
12:10 HANDICAP HURDLE 2m 3f

Text Lizzie last night, confident of a win

Whichwaytobougie @ 16/1 (GP)
13:40 NOVICES HURDLE 2m 3f

suprised to see BPG half brother go straight to hurdles after only a poor (green run) bumper, spoke to one of the syndicate owners on sat day and said pleased with how he is schooling but never mentioned todays entery, Colm takes the ride and gets on well with him

Pudsey House @ 15/2 (GP)
14:10 HANDICAP HURDLE 3m 1f 110y

No reply as yet from John D but i know he likes this horse, he is buzzing after his first spin round Chelts and is getting some decent rides from Mr Wade so he out to impress

I Got Power @ 5/2 (GP)
15:10 FLAT 2m

Yard pleased with his last run, but this is a decent bumper with JM & AP stay north for the lucky last, but im confident James will get him home and therefore make him my NAP

TENTATIVE LUCKY EW (with whichwayto bouggie being 16s) and an EW way acca for the same reasons

stay frosty friends

Morning, all. Absolutely woeful racing today and anyone who gets involved must surely be either ‘in the know’ or ‘in need of a straightjacket’. If you don’t fall into either of these camps there is absolutely no reason to get involved, people!

Lovely looking card at Newbury tomorrow though and I keenly await the final decs. I’ve gone to the fixture a few times in the past but unfortunately won’t be attending of the morrow. The cards biggest claim to fame is that 5 years ago it saw the hurdling bow of dear old Zaynar. Cor blimey how the regular readers cheered that day!

Good luck if you do punt.

Brings back a tear to my eye that horse Barney first proper punt I ever landed as a wideboy 17 year old Zaynar in the Triumph topped off with Walkon in a reverse forecast for dessert.

Dire stuff today if I was forced to put a horse up or have to eat beetroot then at a push I'll give the nod to Mistral Reine has been thereabouts in his last couple and if he swerves the errors today should be able to take a poor race like this.

Hmm, Stuart Crawford's bumper record leads me to side with Beatu in Catterick's lucky last. The booking of AP McCoy only makes me keener.

There's a couple of bigger priced horses in the bumper who could run well. Herecomestrouble and Trackanais.

I've had a few bob on Mistral Reine in the 2.20 at 5/1
