Well our IT has crashed and yet, miraculously, the only thing still working is t'internet. So I thought feck it, I'll get the daily thread up. Today's fayre comes from Huntingdon, Lingfield and Sedgefield - all National Hunt although a number of flat jockeys will be having a go at Lingfield - should be entertaining. Nice race at 2.40 at Huntingdown where Henderson and Nicholls both have ex-French horses making their chase debut. Don't know much about either one's chances but I'm going with the Nicholls horse because he's got Ruby on his back, whereas daddy's little boy is riding the other one. Best of luck sports friends
I am looking forward to seeing the flat professionals take on the hurdles at Lingfield today, the 2.30 is an interesting addition to the card. As a follower of Kirsty on twitter, I know she has been taking part in cross country events whilst fighting the case to get back in the saddle professionally and I think she will be more than able when riding Terra Bleu today for the Powell yard. The horses form is much better away from Fontwell and I am willing to allow him a chance here. Small stakes stuff but a bet at 6/1.
Cor blimey what terrible racing today and I’m waving the ‘no bet’ banner as a result. Anyone who bets this afternoon is, in my opinion, either in the know or in need of a straight jacket. I’ll leave it up to members to decide which camp those who put up tips fall into! Meanwhile, isn’t it so, so much quieter, on here, than a week ago!

Star In Flight Sedg 3.50. UR of 125 when likely winner, then won of 129. Mark rose to 133 and has struggled since in higher class than today. Mark now 120. Looks to me like a winnable mark/grade. Trainer in good form. If ground stays good 6-1 seems fair price. Cranky Corner - Ling 3.00 - small interest at 12-1. Fill yer boots?
I see in the ‘lucky last’ at Kempton Park tomorrow evening we have horses rated in the 100’s racing for a first prize of £4k! Oh British racing what has become of thee?!?
Australian jockey Damien Oliver has been stood down from riding with immediate effect after being charged with betting on a rival horse by Racing Victoria More here
Morning all, well just, hope were better than the dull grey day outside today... Just a little bit like the racing... Only looked at Sedgefield... But even that looks a favs day to me... 12.50 - Blackwater King, 4/5 1.20 - Tick Tocker, 11/4 1.50 - Quinder Spring, 7/2 2.20 - Alpha One, 5/2... bet 2.50 - Anna's Arch, 11/8... bet 3.20 - Buck Mulligan, 3/1 3.50 - Scriptwriter, 15/2 Off to look whats for lunch now... Top table stuff, or whats at the back of the fridge lurking to be eaten...
One bet for me today 2.00 Lingfield Utopian Won his first bumper in Britain impressively before running 4th in what looks like a decent bumper at Newbury on his last start last season. The second in that race Polly Peachum from the Henderson yard has since gone on to beat Pure Style in a good looking novice hurdle. This looks like quite an open race and 2/1 isn't the best price in the world but I'm taking Utopian to win this.
A big bowl of goulash which I thickened up with some mixed veg and added a splash or 2 of tabasco. A roll and a portion of fries, just to soak up excessive juice.
Spicey vegetable rice and a can of fosters... No bet for me today...poor enougth racing but it as Tuesday in November I suppose. GL anyone having a punt.
No ‘top table’ shenanigans for me today. Chicken Caesar salad, packet of Doritos and a banana. All washed down with a bucket of water. 6/10 from me as I would have liked more chicken, the banana was somewhat ‘odd’ shaped and I have my suspicions that that the water was from the tap.
My accumulator has become a treble with the disappointing news that Lord Tomnody has been pulled out of the 1.40 at Huntingdon. For shame. Hidden Identity wins. Two to go.
Bob be careful you don't egg bound...none of your 5-a-day in those cookies...delicious as they no doubt are.
Chicken and Chorizo sausage, sliced tomato, onions and a chipotle sauce on a seeded baton... A much improved 8/10 on yesterdays soup... SBC - I take it the banana was straight was it... And your suspicious of the tap water... Quality... Get back on that 'Top Table' soon...
