30 minutes studying led to these 2 in an each way double; Carlisle 2.45 Emily Hall 8/1 Carlisle 3.15 Kirtling Belle 14/1 Day out at the Edinburgh Festival Saturday coming (£££) so fingers crossed.
The period between Goodwood and Friday's Newbury meeting has forever been the deadest period of the flat season. Ideas please.
I'm sure you could have been a little more cryptic Nass - or didn't you want the not606 power betting bringing down the price too much
Small bets on the two I mentioned last night. WESTERN WAY is definitely better than he showed last time out at Southwell. Later at Stratford I think KING OF FORCES is too big at 50-1. Fit from a flat spin and on this surface is capable of getting involved for a small yard in reasonable form!
Michael O'Connell rides Tukitinyasock ..... do you know something about Michael's anatomy that we don't?
Robert Winston’s Moral Issue. Not without chances either. Has won off 73 in the past and today is perched as low as 56, I say, 56.
I know mate. I'm on at 8/1 but I can't be sticking that price up at 2.45 when 4/1 is the best available.
Afternoon all struggling for time lately just looked at the last at Carlisle ailsa craig with reaplied gear looks promising at 7/2 in a woeful race I sometimes wonder why I look
With the rain coming at Nottingham a bet may be in order on Prohibit at 8-1 in the big sprint race of the evening.
backed this horse myself earlier its in a lucky 15 with Dazinski (5:20 Strat), Daneva (7:50 Strat) & Toto Skyllachy (already run)
Dr Newland again. Very talented trainer. In a game where winning is everything, placement is key. And no one places better than the good Doctor. Tallking of placement, Greatrex takes two to Stratford tonight. He doesn't often go there but when he does he has a tremendous strike rate. Kettlewell runs in the 5.50 and is currently 5/1. New Years Eve is favourite at a prohibitively short price but that horse was woeful last time out and I couldn't back it at 2/5. Kettlewell is the obvious alternative having run well a few times over hurdles against subsequent winners. This will win a race soon and today seems like a decent opportunity if the favourite doesn't perform up to his bumper form. Turbo Du Ranch seems the less likely victor of his two today so i won;t go into much detail but the tongue tie and Gavin Sheehan's very handy 5 lbs could surprise a few.
Agreed on Kettlewell bob, the champ is on for a 4 timer to add to all that. Although Id rather have the pipe horse in the 6.20
