Looks like we couldn't be playing Man Utd at a better time than Tuesday.

They're bound to be on a low and probably won't be able to lift their spirits in time for this game. That plus the fact that Scholes is out and maybe one or two others carrying minor knocks. Looks like it might not be the walkover that they'd been expecting.

Here's hoping we get an unexpected three points to carry us that little bit nearer to safety.

    This.

Scholes is out, Rooney probably a bit rusty, Berbatov looking like he's carrying a knock, something could happen here.

You lot are clutching at straws here, their C team could be our A team and I think they will be even more bang up for our game so they can ensure that they win the league after being knocked out of the FA cup.

They will probably tear us apart.

    Never know with us though.

They will either be in a **** mood or will go out to win the game to show their dominance for being first in the prem.

That's a load of crap really. They aren't that good and we aren't that bad. We have players like Tiote, Barton, Colo and Enrique who could comfortably replace some of the first team players in Man U, in my opinion.

We're in a good position for Tuesday though. Their morale will be low, Scholes is out and their away record is only slightly above average. In away matches they've lost or drawn to the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea, Wolves, Spurs, Birmingham, Villa, West Brom, Sunderland, Bolton, Everton, Fulham and so on.

For those reasons, I can't see why this is considered such an impossible task. If our team is in good form, a draw is a very reasonable possibility and a win can be done. It'll be difficult, but not overly so.

I am sorry but I would have to disagree with that. Coloccini is probably my favourite player at the moment but he is not going to comfortably replace Ferdinand or Vidic in the centre of defence <doh>

Tiote could well get into their first team, but Barton wouldn't replace Carrick, Nani, Valencia, Giggs or many other of their first team midfielders.

Enrique would replace Evra at some point, without a shadow of a doubt. Not sure if he would comfortably replace him right now, but yes eventually, he will be much better than Evra.

I expect a loss and think we could scrape a draw with the right mindset, but a win?

I think we've got an excellent chance of getting something personally. Under the lights with Tiote, Ameobi & hopefully Ireland back, Scholes out for Utd. Quietly confident.

We've done it before when it wasn't expected, we can do it again.

Colo could do as good a job as Ferdinand or some of the other CB's they occasionally use -especially as Ferdinand is now getting on a bit.

Barton could do as good a job as Carrick, Anderson or Fletcher.

Tiote and Enrique could play as well (or better) in their respective positions as well.

I'm not saying that these players would replace the Manchester United players as an improvement. I'm saying that they would have the ability and quality to replace some of the first team players and still allow Manchester United to play to the level they do now. My point is that the drift in quality isn't THAT big, as in some of our positions, there is very little or no difference in quality.

It's just a shame that the rest of our players in other positions aren't as good, and that our strikeforce is absolutely nowhere to be seen compared to theirs.

That was actually a typo to be honest I was meant to say "their C team could beat our A team"

You say they're morale will be low which is a valid point, but you are forgetting that they will be working hard to ensure they dont throw the title away, no question Fergie will have them fired up for this so really it could work either way, it depends how hard they took the loss really.

Any team can beat any team on their day, in any league, just the chances of it are quite unlikely, nothing is impossible though.

In this season of all seasons, surely we can be hopeful of a win?!

Loving AB's and others optimism, but I fear a wounded animal on Tuesday night am afraid, plus Man Utd have better options than Scholes (who is not half the player he used to be), like Giggs and Fletcher

On the bright side they always have Carrick, a massive boost for us also :)

Hope so, but I fear this is when Man Utd are at their most dangerous.
