George Tucudean has signed a three-year contract.

I welcome his signing as a "second striker" in the Kermorgant role, but unless we also sign a better striker I am less than impressed. We need someone "oven-ready" and with a better goal-scoring record with the new season only three weeks away.

Coming from the Romanian league (Div One standard?) it will take him some months to get up to speed.

    Underwhelming, at face value.

Actually, the photo he has posted on Twitter made me want to puke.

What a mess this Club is getting in :steam:

No doubt the expectation is to start firing relatively early, it may happen u never know.

Looking at the current crop of strikers - I think Reza will be our best shot at one of them getting 10+ goals.

    George Tucudean...

The Brentford match can't come quick enough. The excitement is making me dizzy.

Still, I'm looking forward to the Lewes friendly. The Dripping Pan is a fine little ground and is just a stone's throw from the town's wonderful Cluniac priory. I highly recommend it for a relaxing evening stroll.

Did you know that "Romanian George" owns a fleet of Ferraris, and is reckoned to be something of a playboy back home in his local village of wig wams <laugh>

I read this on another site.

He also scored 14 goals - one a backheel which went in via his right bum cheek- in our 36-0 win over the Gibralter Arms Second XI last night on Marbella beach. Nego was voted MOM in the same game by a jury comprising Roland Duchatelet, Katrien Meire, and Nego's agent.

Not from football though. He comes from a wealthy family, and is probably a lot better educated and cosmopolitan than certain of our posters.

    Stumbled on this in Wiki:

Return to Charlton Athletic (of Tucudean)

In July 2015 Ţucudean was informed by management that [he] is not part of the team's future plans of Steaua București, after he did not agree with the reduction of his contract.

Wiki have taken him out of our "on loan" section and included in our current first team squad again.

I do not remember anything being mentioned about this on this board, Is it a wind-up?

    ...............................................

Also, why do they list Ansah as one of our u21 squad when he was 21 in May 2015 (surely before the cut-off date?)

The OS is no help on these matters. The player list there has not been updated since the summer break. Pathetic!

Zac Ansah played yesterday and scored for the U21s .I think he will be shipped out on loan as he is not a part of Luzons plans. The Tucudean bit on Wilki I am sure is a wind up.

Yes, but is he an u21? Could have played as a permitted over-age player.

Never seen him play. Is he similar to Harriott when the latter is played up front?

Yes, wishful thinking by some Steaua fan.

Yes Ansah is over age. He is not like Harriott, he is more like Lisbie. But he has scored a number of goals recently yet he is never given a chance with the first team squad. I would expect him to go on loan again.

Somebody has posted on CL that Tucudean is back but is going on loan to STTV.
