Jo-Wilfried Tsonga produced a stunning comeback from two sets down to secure a shock win over Roger Federer in the Wimbledon quarter-finals. The Frenchman looked doomed as Federer raced into a two-set lead, securing the sets 6-3 7-6 lead in just over an hour. But 12th-seed Tsonga took the third set 6-4, and nicked solitary breaks from his Swiss opponent in the two remaining sets to win the match. Tsonga will now face Novak Djokovic in a semi-final clash. Six-time champion Federer looked on his way to a record-equally seventh win at the All England Club when he broke Tsonga twice in the opening set. Tsonga came into the match in the second before losing his way in a poor tie-break to give Federer a two-set advantage. But the Queen's finalist found an extra gear or two and sparked a recovery built around a magnificent serve and some powerful hitting. Tsonga did not face a single break point in the third or fourth as he drew level, and broke in the first game of the decider to maintain his momentum. He held on comfortably for the remainder of the set and served out to win the match.
Great win for the Frenchman, has to be one of the best comebacks in Wimbledon history, knocking out a tennis legend.
