How come when Chelsea or Man city spend money on players they are trying to buy the title but when united do it its great management??????????????
Whether you agree with the principal or not the argument is usually because Fergie is spending money United have earned, not spending money being given to him by super rich owners on players and wages while the club is making a loss.
As United are replacing retired players. That is retired not ******ed : Retired - no longer playing ******ed - Weight Crimson Plum
Because City will probably say they are if you ask them, and Chelsea spend ridiculous amounts on luxury players
Cheers so thats the reason i always wondered. I thought the club was in debt but if all this money that they throw about is from the profits they make then fair enough, thanks for you help.
Oh so this is the real reason you are here? To argue. Why not say something true instead of making something up that makes you look like a dick.
Not Wuming at all then. Tell me who has currently spent the most United or Liverpool ? Yet your not on their asking them the same ?
This year United expect to make a £110 million operating profit (revenue less wages and other operating costs). With interest costs expected to be around £45 million, that leaves £65 million to spend on players. Last year that money was spent on refinancing the debt, but this year it is free to be spent. And spend it we will Most people don't have a problem with other clubs spending, but they have a problem with them spending money they haven't earnt thanks to their rich benefactors. Why should Chelsea and City get to spend almost a billion quid that they haven't earned, whilst clubs like Spurs, Villa and Everton are forced to live within their means. Those three have worked hard trying to get into the CL only to see other clubs shoot past them just cos some rich blokes want to have a football club as a toy...
The debt is due to the owners taking out loans to buy the club, it has nothing to do with spending on players. If our debt was due to spending then we'd have to have spent well over a £1bn on players under the Glazers.
He could accuse them of trying to though. Henderson for 20,000,000 ( there is no typo there really is that many naughts )
Well to be fair Liverpool have not won it for quite a while so they are not that good at buying anything, To be honest i'm not bothered about so called buying it i'm sure the owners see the millions spent on players as investments, But i can't see any difference between Chelsea spending and man U spending??
