The guy is a complete f#ckwit. What is the point of stirring the pot. This sort of thing has serious consequences for the people who live there.
Being honest the guy is anything but a ****wit. He is a smart cookie. All of things he does are a means to an end. Whether that be financial gain, betterment of America or self preservation. Its law of the jungle really. I just think he is having a tough time domestically, he has this fanny grab still trying to raise its head and he needed something that was going to cause a massive reaction which he could easily back down from or dilute at a later stage. North Korea hasn't really stuck for him in terms of a distraction. It ticks off a campaign promise and destabilises the region again - something some would say suits America too. What's a few violent protests, killings amongst friends? I think it just demonstrates the brutality of his political maneuvering rather than any ****wittery. I think it served his needs on many levels.
Unless that tongue is firmly in your cheek (your tongue not Chippy's) then you give too much credit and brains to Mr Trump. Yes he can make money but that certainly doesn't mean he has any brains.
Obviously. However he probably is intelligent in some ways - you don't amass 10 billion by good fortune. The number of these convenient flashpoints is off the chart now though, and I have no doubt the vast majority is very aggressive political posturing and maneuvering. Just probably not on his instruction - more covering up his mess. Its just the White House wheels running overtime to cover him off. Although the guy had Obama laughing at him at the Correspondents Dinner in 2011, mocking his presidential ambitions. Roll forward a few years and he is the president and Obama is having to swallow a massive amount of humble pie to handover to him. Maybe he ain't as stupid as it appears...
I think that Trumps election to office is a mark of how stupid some Americans are rather than how clever he is.
Definitely some. All the friends I have over there are very intelligent and politically aware and detest Trump and what he stands for. Unfortunately too many will sink to any depths to defend anyone and anything be that an individual or a party who they think they can identify with. It happens here too. Al Franken has resigned and probably rightly so but as he said, there is a man in the white house who has acted at least as bad and is getting away with it scot free.
Trump isn't doing these things by accident although I doubt he personally realises the effect everything he does or says will have. What I think he tries to do is play sides off against each other and create tensions. One week he is doing big deals with the Saudis, the next he is doing Isreal's bidding and the Saudis are outraged. To get re-elected he needs conflict and apparent threats to his country so he can take 'tough' actions to make it appear like he is a tough leader. He wants his citizens to be afraid. World leaders have done it for ever. Putin and Kim need this to stay in power too. What Trump's long game plan is I'm not entirely sure but I fear it involves nepotism/creating a dynasty and controlling the media. If that's the case it's becoming dangerously similar to a dictatorship. What I am sure of is that his own interests come before the people he was elected to represent.
I'm sure I read somewhere that had he just put the money his Dad gave him into a bank account then he'd be better off than he is now.
Sadly not true. But it would have been a good story. Trump has faced bankrupcy four times so far and it's only because of the size of the debts that would cause problems for his creditors (at one time numbering 70 banks) if Trump folded that he was able to borrow more in order to restructure his debts. It was only in the 1990s when he was able to turn things around and he was able to make his pot which, by the way, is estimated to be around $5 billion and not the $10 that Trump himself claims.
One of many myths surrounding him. He is so despised now that we have the counter productive bullshit mill running overtime. All it does is help him cover his tracks. Everything is smoke and mirrors with the guy. I struggle to get overly excited about this whole debacle. It sad people are being injured and killed but let’s face it, this is an age long conflict never likely to be resolved because religion is at the heart of it. The three main faiths argue over Jerusalem and it’s historical significance etc etc. Have done for years. They kill each other and there is uproar worldwide and yet it and their religions are a bunch horseshit. Or camel ****. Or sunderland supporter ****. Sure we don’t need some moron or a country interfering and reigniting things, but if we all just came out the ****ing dark ages there wouldn’t be such a problem
