Admitted, we haven't got rid of the dreaded Sam the Scam yet, but look what we have got: Velikonja - £2 million+ Kimbo - over £2 million+ Mutch - £2 million? Noone - £1 million+ Maynard - £2.5 million Smith - £1 million Connolly - half a million? Bellamy - lots of wages! Malky has had more real cash to flash in a few months than DJ had in over five years, and so far he hasn't had his best players sold from under him (which DJ had to put up with nearly every year). We're still looking a bit thin on the ground at the back, but with this amount of investment comes a lot of expectation (from the owners as well as us). This is truly a team which Malky has built, and with this we must see a change in playing style - we might even attack quickly (sometimes in numbers!), otherwise why waste the money? I am feeling a lot more positive about the football we'll be watching than I did two weeks ago, as it looks as if Malky had identified a need - i.e. to win games by scoring goals.
I just home he can make a team of that lot. Big money signings didn't do a lot for Leicester last season. I must admit they've put their money where their mouth is. I was hoping for a few £1M signings, but this has exceeded all expectations. Oh, except a couple full backs please.
I bought a Red shirt and wore it to the Huddersfield game, a couple of more £1m+ signings and I might buy the Blue one too.
