Starts tonight on Sky Atlantic, 9 p.m. Same writer as the first series. Different cast: Vince Vaughn, Rachel McAdams and Colin Farrell. Set in L.A., not in the Louisiana bayous. It's going to have to be good, to beat the first series... (Downloads are out there already, I believe)
Of course it will be good, it's made by HBO. The first series was ace. Now Game of Thrones is off for a while, I'm glad HBO have kept the ball rolling.
The end of the first one was a little crap. Bit of a fight and job done. The rest was great, but enhanced by subtitles as most of the mumbling was incomprehensible due to the drawl.
To be fair, it probably was a bit better than Misommer, if Farrell gets himself a dog called Sykes, I reckon it'll be job sorted.
That Jack Black show on after True Detective looks interesting too, taped that too, him and Tim Robbins as comedy diplomats or something
I enjoyed the first episode of this series of True Detective However I tried the first series and had to give up as I couldn't hear all the bloody mumbled drawling speech, so nothing to compare to really ( apart from the fact that being understandable was a favourable comparison)
My bad, just googled, it was Downton. Don't watch either so easy mistake, I'd rather have a fatwar put out against me than watch any of that **** anyway
Too early too judge. But it will be a hard task to be as good as season one. Like Colin Farrell's character mind. Knuckleduster time on the fathers bullyboy son.
Just do what my elderly parents do, put the subtitles on, they love it and their usual viewing is Emmerdale, I lent them a True Detective boxset
Matthew Mcconaughey was a guest on Diners Drive Ins and Dives t'other day. He talks like that in real life anarl. Couldnt understand a bloody word. One of my favourite programmes that. Anyone else watch it.
Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives? Love that show. I've been to a lot of places that have been featured, trying to hit them when I travel.
I watched the full first series after being recommended it, i must admit i didn't enjoy it at all. For me it was very slow and nothing seemed to happen, but that might of just been the acting. i might of been spoilt by previous programs i.e game of thrones etc.... need a new program to watch but i dont think i will be watching this again............
For the most part they've been outstanding, so Guy's opinion is trustworthy. On the other hand, Guy Fieri has his name attached to several restaurant chains. I've been to one of the chains, Johnny Garlic's, which features Italian fare. The place was terrible.
There's an Italian chain in America that's absolutely terrible, called something like Olive Tree, or Olive Garden?
