Sounds like he might on the move going by his 5live interview.

Or maybe just got caught up in the emotion of the moment.

I wasn’t so sure from the Sky interview. Maybe, maybe not. Like quite a bit now, time will tell over the next few weeks.

    Ah Frenchie posted it:

Watford striker Troy Deeney talking to Sky Sports: "This is a reflection of the whole year. Not quite been good enough. Heartbreaking for the people who work behind the scenes and we feel sorry for them.

"I will take the stick on social media but the harsh reality is people will lose their jobs because we haven't been good enough.

"As a club and as a community we will go again. Ultimately we have not been good enough, no point dancing around it.

"The whole top to bottom will do an audit and reassess. It is not just us. It is part and parcel of football.

"We can't say we got it right because we failed. The bigger thing for fans and people at clubs because they will be here longer than players. They will be hurt and annoyed. I don't know if this will be my last game for Watford. You front it.

"I will be having a knee operation next week. Clubs can can go in different directions and players can. If that is my last game, I am happy I went out on my shield. I am a simple man. Did I go out and do everything I could, yes, was it good enough? No.

"Things happen in football. I have been here 10 years, if it is my time to go, it is my time to go."

Just suggested he might be moving on.

Like A1 says a lot will be said over the weeks to come.

I suspect that several of the highest earners will be moved on.

As far as I can see the following player are out of contract.
    Heurelho Gomes
    Adrian Mariappa
Callum Whelan, but option for a further year

All of the others have at least another year.

I think it’s more a case of it’s all up in the air. Tbh, given his knee problems I don’t think a premier league side will take him, so I reckon he will be with us next season. However, he might be out of action for a while if he needs surgery.

We could argue that the bit of luck we needed was missing today and has been most of this season
Denney and Welbeck could have had two apiece but it was not to be
I hope Deeney stays and Welbeck
We need to get rid of Gray, Pereyra, Doucoure, and Success, possibly Cathcart
Delafeoo and Sarr might have to be sold to balance the books
Pedro and Possestti might do ok in the Championship and Wilmott
I wonder if Mullins would be given a chance
I dont think Pearson would have got more out of the last two games

Hughes and Dawson both have experience of the Championship
We need the right blend of experience and young hungry ambitious players
Back on the rollercoaster for the next couple of years
