any takers he hasn't kicked a ball for Watford this season. I rate him personally especially at this level and think he would be a good addition.

He's been out injured. No chance he'd even consider us even if we could afford the fee and his wages. We couldn't afford the loan fee imo.

He was a major part in getting Watford promoted & would be an excellent signing but like the others have said, not a chance.

£15m+ price tag would have Short's knackers in a knot.

    I wouldn't want him here even for £5m never mind £15m :emoticon-0145-shake

He seems to me to be one of those grafters who always give 100% but we've got a few of that type and we need a 'proper' centre forward with height (and he's only about 5' 10" isn't he ?) and strength (not to mention the other obvious attributes) to complement the graft that we've already got :emoticon-0148-yes:

I suppose his stats in the Championship of 77 goals and 32 assists in 200 games means nothing?

Same for the PL of 75 appearances with 23 goals and 12 assists.

Yeah, I'd rather we had James Vaughan over him as well...<doh>

Well i think he's a cracking player. Wouldn't even consider a move to the championship. Given Gray went for 18.5m I think it would take a 20m at least in this climate. I don't call 6ft short myself:emoticon-0112-wonde and I think he's physically strong player too. Think he's good finisher but he's also creative. He's a handful who makes things happen.

And he is also a real leader, tough as nails, but sadly well beyond our means, just highlights how far we have fallen, and the money we have squandered. :steam:

Understatement. Way may as well go for Rondon, Volks or King and get nowhere with them either <laugh>

I was thinking on loan if he's not getting football down there we could ask the question.

    I didn't check his stats, mind, or his height <laugh> . . . . I just don't rate him as a 'proper' centre forward :emoticon-0100-smile

I'll get my coat now :emoticon-0128-hi:

Fully agreed but it was the fact it was mentioned that he's not worth £5m as we already have 'hard workers'.

    Laughable.

I don't think hes' the right "fit" for our developing team , I just don't think he would settle up here if he'd want to step down a division.

It won't happen for financial reasons. That said, the idea that an old fashioned style centre forward, who's proven as a goal scorer in our league and the league above us, is somehow below us is bizarre.

    He'd improve our team massively.
