Hatem ben Arfa........'bye Tom Ince..................'bye And still the ego has to be fed and watered, cos we're in with the big boys now!
He's got more about him than Hernandez or Ben Arfa, no doubt, but he has a **** game for every good game and in terms of not being up for the battle I can't see a worse offender.
'Jury's out' on that one.... He can be absolutely brilliant. But not always, not consistent in effort/application.
Looking back we probably had the worst summer signings for one reason or another in the league; Long term injuries to; - Diame - Robertson - Snodgrass Uninspiring form from; - Ben Arfa - Ramirez - Ince - Hernandez Even the Dawson signing has had an adverse affect on us and Robertson has been inconsistent.
Dawsons arrival certainly seems to have put Davies nose out - Robertson is a great prospect, he's no left back though, not yet; if we can't play him at wing back in a five we mebbe shouldn't be playing him, he's gifted too many goals, that'll be playing on his mind ......... shades of a young Delaney ?
Shades of a young Delaney could be replaced by shades of Delaney at any age when played at left back. He was ****ing dreadful at LB even after he left us, and for all that Taylor was supposed to be good with young players, given how Delaney was after that Lincoln game consistently playing him there could have properly messed with his development as a player. It's one thing to say get back on the horse to someone that can ride but has had a fall, but to keep doing it to someone who can't is something else.
I know their name is all over the pic so ironically it'll probably get more coverage than if he wasn't, but I bet the sponsors are delighted when a new signing poses for pictures in the shirt and folds their arms over the logo.
