Seem to be on the increase. Find myself logging on then straight back off quite a lot these days, cos they're just cluttering up the board with ridiculous, manufactured arguments.

Shame, really; this forum has been really enjoyable, but it's getting spoiled now.

I was thinking the same thing. It's not just a case of 'well don't click on the thread', cause so many decent threads are getting infected with utter dribble and dogshit.

About 4/5 pages of that TDD thread yesterday were an absolute joke,

We banned two on Sunday and have a few more on watch(suspected banned posters with new accounts), we'll try and keep things as tidy as possible, without getting heavy handed.

Makes you wonder about the lives of these people a bit.

    What is in them?

    Can't be much.

Don't worry about it mate. I get up about lunch time here in Oz when everyone is asleep in Hull. I go through my 'Hull City News e-mails' and information I have been given about Hull City. If I find this information is NOT on these boards then I post it. This is usually followed by any number of posts from the early risers in Hull telling me that THEY don't know or haven't heard anything about it and demand my sources. When I post the sources I am told that they are a load of cods-wallop but then they later post exactly what I have posted from their own sources. So I don't bother posting any of them any more.
This is still probably the best Hull City site but, as you say, has degenerated with the swear-filter being ineffective and the "C" and "F" Bombs becoming quite prevalent.
However, as the season progresses we should have some good debates on here with relation to our new signings and how they are settling in.

Being asked to provide a source can easily be avoided. It is best practice to include your source if it comes from the media.

There are two reasons for this.

It provides credibility to the information and it also avoids any copyright problems.

Swearing on a football forum is in my view acceptable. I do cringe when posters use alternative spellings, what is the point?

Particularly those with multiple-personality disorder (actually it's the same glaringly obvious personality under a different name). Really, really sad. Now that the window is closed for another 4 months hopefully they'll just get bored and see that there's more to life than spouting drivel on a web forum.

Could it be that we are being 'wummed' more because people are sitting up and taking notice of Hull City AFC?

Exactly. After 10 years I've managed to successfully balance work and life with drivel-spouting and can now juggle all three.

Could it also be that a few on here believe that they have a God given right to call others wummers just because their views are different to theirs ?

That might happen occasionally - but in recent weeks there have been a few definite wummers (caused by the reincarnation of banned posters).

What one needs is a car park in which to resolve such matters.

I must admit, when I'm reading stuff on here I am capable of not hearing a word the missus says. So perhaps "multi-tasking" is overstating it a bit! <laugh>

Taking notice of HullCity AFC, I'm sure he was banned, or is he back? Now there's a thought. I wonder who . . . . .
