Played a couple of games against Galway United in the early 90's at junior level. We toured Ireland one pre season and played them twice. I don't remember too much about it but we won one and lost one and it ****ing hammered it down for the whole week we were there....in August. It was like the middle of winter. The pitches were awful, the stadium was a **** hole, the changing rooms were like summat out of Kes but the people were super friendly and would do anything for us.
Reminds me of playing at Frickley and they had an open coal fire in the changing room which was much appreciated on a cold January evening
