I would imagine he's a bit embarrassed. He's resisted picking Hoolahan for five years, no doubt using the excuse that he's not playing at the highest level. He gets to the Premier League and he still doesn't pick him, eventually he caves to media and fan pressure and uses him as a sub in a couple of games and he turns in two good performances and scores. He's never going to admit he made a mistake in not picking him, so he'll just fall back on the fact they missed out on the World Cup due to the Hand of Henry and qualified for the Euro's without Hoolahan in the side.
I never go on the Pink Un forum but I imagine some of the regular posters there might now start a "Trappatoni for Norwich" campaign. He's a man who believes that if you are facing technically superior teams you need to play two strikers ........ 4:4:2 on Saturday anyone?
