    Armand Traore

Armand Traore will take painkillers if it allows him to face Birmingham on Saturday.

The QPR midfielder has suffered a trapped nerve in his back that affects his calf, and is receiving chiropractic treatment in order to keep up a decent run in Rangers midfield.

The Frenchman twisted sharply in the last five minutes of Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Leeds and at first thought he had done serious damage.

“I changed direction quickly and felt a sharp pain in my calf, and I couldn’t walk at first,” he explained.

“I thought it was a strain, but it’s nerve related and I’ve seen the chiropractor.

“If you ask me can I play? I will say yes. I can easily take some painkillers or inflammatories.

“But the doctors are like ‘wait and see, and ‘maybe keep you in (from training) Thursday and Friday'. But if you ask me, I’ll think I’ll be fine.”

Noticed this too. Traore seems to have more determination and commitment this season, and has settled into his midfield role, proving to be a real threat at times.

Am I the only one who raises the eyebrows when I read these sh1te reports......"take painkillers and play through the pain barrier".......,"going to give my everything this weekend for the fans"......., "fully committed to getting the Team out of the situation we should not be in", .........."yadda, yadda, yadda".........??

Makes me pull my hair out (that's why I'm bald(ish))!!!

Its a sad state of affairs when Traore looks like one of our most committed players.

Speaking of painkillers, apparently more than half of footballers take them pre game without an injury, which surprises me considering half of them spend all game rolling around in agony.

I thought from the thread title he was going to overdose, I wonder where this sudden determination has come from, not out of contract in the summer by any chance? (Excuse my cynicism)...

Maybe I've grown cynical but is his contract up soon?

In the summer which is a coincidence. I'd offer him half of what he's already on.
