When has it been different? See Lisbie has come out today and said he wants to sign but beginning to think we are going to be starting next season with Marquis and McQuoid. With Batt returning and Bouazza able to play up front theres a sense of complacement around.

if K.J. tried for Rhodes, and is trying for Ranger, means there will be someone coming in and K.J. isnt one for panic buying we dont want to end up with a Billy Paynter on our hands, when it happens it will be the right one,Our Defence is solid Midfield and wide we are ok. I would like to see more of Marquis he seems a natural poacher and work horse who did us proud when called on last season, so maybe thats why K.J. isnt rushing into things,Would like to see Townsend back too, But lets leave it to Kenny he has never let us down yet,

I hope there will be action on the transfer front from July 1st when players have returned from their holidays and clubs have finalised their retained lists so we have more idea of who is available. We only have 20 players in the squad at the moment and just 3 strikers so I reckon at least 6 players will be signed before the season starts. Murray, Tyson, Taylor, Rhodes, Le Fondre, Ranger have all been linked with us but no official announcement has ever been made by the club confirming or denying these rumours. I am sure that KJ will sign the right players even though nothing seems to be happening at the moment.

This is I was going to say kind of, Millwall will up their business in the TM from 1st July onwards I reckon. Also with Lisbie he rejected our first offer of a contract from KJ. KJ would have offered near enough best terms from a Millwall perspective first time around so unless Lisbie doesn't mind a pay cut then I can't seem him re-signing for us.

Think we need more creativity in midfield as well as proven talent up front. Puncheon was proven to be a good player for us so would be one to be hopeful for if the donkey lashers didn't want him. He didn't get much of a look in there but then again Southampton may keep him or be asking too much still for him.

Not sure about Lisbie, he got some important goals last season but must have been injured 70%+ of the time!

To OP I understand why the club keep transfers private, this is the way it should be as there's no influence we can have on who KJ and the club decide to go for e.g. ranger seems unpopular with the fans but if KJ thinks he is worth it he will sign him regardless. Also if the club kept declaring how negotiations where going the other clubs involved would get pissed off <laugh>

Lets hope Kenny gets into gear in july with some good signings, especially on the striker front. lets not take our eye off the ball tho as the big teams are buying quality signings and
were pretty light weight up front with Mcquoid and marquis not yet proven over a complete season. The defence was solid last season which was a good basis for our good form but
that was last season and the quality of the opposition looks better this coming season , i think survival is the order of the day in my book as i think the championship has stepped up
a notch and i dont expect a better season like the last imo

Whether it's true or not it does seem a bit of a cliche to say league x is the strongest it has ever been each and every year.

We can more than hold our own in this league so I don't see why we should be worrying about staying up.

We've sold 1 player who will be replaced with probably 2 new strikers and like you said we have a solid defense so will be at least mid table imo <ok>
