Belfodil - Off now apparently Ntep - Looking unlikely to me Kenwyne Jones - Gone to Swansea Rhodes - not happening i think Odemwhingie - gone to stoke Crouch - not happening Stevie May - not happening Coll Donaldson - looks like it is happening but an 18 year old defender is not back up for Austin Jordan Spence - don't know - not sure i care Kolbeinn Sigthórsson - maybe this is the one buts its all starting to look a bit desperate, Maybe Harry will pull some rabbits out of the hat on Friday, lets just hope they are not old rabbits and only interested in the carrots!
It's the same old story every Jan window. From memory Harry brought in Simpson and Dunne and some others early doors back in the summer and they have proven thus far to be good signings. Now come January, there is a cat and mouse game between all the clubs where signings are like a deck of cards as one club probably agrees in principle to sell their player to another club, but need to wait on their replacement being confirmed. Just like the housing market where the chain gets too long and when one party pulls out then the whole chain above or beneath falls apart. Hence why there are so many names being mentioned in the run up to the window closing. I think Harry likes to play dumb on the subject in the weekly "presser" but I suspect he keeps a close watch on what TF and PB are up to so that he is not left with naff all in signings come 23:00 on 31st Jan.
Can't help feeling (or is it that old R's trait of hoping) that we have a number of irons in the fire and some are falling away as we move closer to our real targets - all part of the negotiation process. Or... as Col says, we're crap at this transfer game!
He's promised a striker by Friday according to West London Sport: "" Redknapp promises QPR will sign striker 28/01/2014 By David McIntyre Harry Redknapp says there is no doubt QPR will sign a striker before Friday’s transfer deadline. Rangers have been linked with a host of forwards and have lined up several possible signings, but have long planned to wait until this week before narrowing down their options. And manager Redknapp insisted: “We’ll find somebody for sure. There’s someone out there and we will find one.” Talks have now started with Ishak Belfodil over a loan move for the Inter Milan forward, which could be completed in the next 24 hours. Rangers appear to have reached an agreement with Parma, who co-own the Algerian forward and initially insisted they wanted him sold for at least £7.5m. Redknapp is also targeting a defender because Danny Simpson is out with a back injury, plus there are concerns over Nedum Onuoha, who has a knee problem. The club also plan to add 18-year-old Livingston centre-back Coll Donaldson to their development squad. “Everyone knows we’ve been relying on Charlie Austin up front, so we do want to bring in a striker,” Redknapp added. “We’re looking to bring in a defender too if we can. We’re not sure how long Danny will be out for but it doesn’t look too good and he’s been told to rest.” ""

I saw an article the other day saying that the tansfer window should be cut from the minth of Jan down to just 1 week in Jan. All the business is done then anyway & it would unsettle teams and players less... Definately the case for Harry Also, I we dont get a striker in then I really dont see us getting over the line TBH!
At the moment it's all transfers off & with the injuries we have I think we really need to bring in four players, 2 x defenders (CB + RB), centre midfield + striker to keep our promotion on track.
Could it be that Harry has pulled a few ............. or am I driving up a dead end creek! please log in to view this image
