    DC said he wanted to bring in 4 or 5 players. was that assuming that all 9 players out of contract that were out of contract would be signing or will this increase with the likes of Monkhouse and Bell Baggie not signing/not being offered contracts

    With Monkhouse going we really need an experienced head out there. Monkhouse didn't have much pace, but we were very effective down that left side due, in no small part, to Monkhouse.

    Evening post states that O'Connor has signed a new contract with Port Vale which could see Chris Lines now being able to leave the club as he wants to return to his home city
