It also looks like we’re doing a bit of redevelopment work on the West Stand to make the fanzone bigger, eliminate restricted viewing seats (there are a quite a lot at the back), and ultimately aim to put a further 4,000 seats in that stand.

I believe the club want to do that before building a new Cobbold Stand. That way they’ve got more space to temporarily move season ticket holders in the Cobbold while it’s gets rebuilt.

Sassuolo have exercised the option to make Muric's signing permanent for an undisclosed fee (probably a hefty loss for us!)

Edit TWTD report the fee as £6million.

McKenna the bookies favourite for the vacancy at Fulham. Is this the summer he’s finally tempted to depart? I’m sure we’ve got a contingency list of candidates ready, but they’re going to be some big shoes to fill if he does leave.

Can’t be allowed to drag on. If he wants to go & Fulham are happy to pay the compensation then we should get the deal done asap to allow a new manager to come in, assess the squad and bring in the players he wants. Personally, I think he will stay. He knows he will not get sacked here, it’s his team and (not a small thing) he has a youngish family who I presume are settled in Ipswich. If he stays and keeps us in the PL, his stock is only going to go up

Yep, totally agree on getting it done quickly if he really wants to go. I think Chelsea and Man Utd last time was always a bit fanciful, but always thought an established club a rung down was a worry. Fulham, Palace, Brentford etc. I hope he stays, but would be interesting to follow his career at his next job.

It’s a non story until it’s a story, not worth worrying about.

Nick Pope strongly linked to us. We’ve got competition with Leeds for his signature (steady Spanish).

He’s got bags of Premier League experience and was a former Town academy lad. Apparently he had a season ticket at Portman Road when he was a kid. Goalkeeper is an area where we probably need better competition for Walton and Pope fits the bill.

Only concern is that he has struggled a bit in the last couple of years. But in terms of experience, the Town connection, and being able to bring in a credible first teamer - I think it’s a no brainer. Hopefully the fee isn’t too high but looks like Newcastle are keen to sign a new keeper for £24 million, so Pope definitely looks like he’s on the move.
