Sir Alex Ferguson has said we should go for it in the window to give us the best chance of winning the league.

Claudio Ranieri said last week we wont be looking to sign anyone unless people leave. There is talk of Inler and Kramaric going out on loan and of course the inevitable speculation surrounding Vardy and Mahrez

So what do people think we should doif we should do anything?

A few weeks back I would have said a right back and centre half but Simpson has looked superb and with him and Fuchs coming in out backline looks alot stronger

I wouldnt mind another striker simaliar to Vardy as him aside none of our strikers have really stamped down a place.

Defensively we have been much stronger but as much as he's been a great servant, in our current position Morgan's time must be limited so although we've improved a lot defensively, I'd like a new centre back. Simpson looks good for now so not urgent for Jan and Fuchs has been excellent. Hugh has his days but I think 1 centre half would be enough. Midfield, just keep people, Inler, King and James to come in. I think we should offload one of the strikers, maybe Okazaki or Krammy and sign someone up there

The areas I think we definitely DON'T need to improve are central mid, right wing, left back and number 9. I genuinely think they're all top 4 worthy.

So, in my eyes, Schmeichel, Simpson, Huth, Morgan, Albrighton and Ulloa could all be improved.

The positions occupied by Simpson and Ulloa could be improved on.

Theres nothing wrong with Kasper and changing both Huth and Morgan mid season would create more problems then solve

I know you like him a lot Proud but he is not the best at coming for crosses (Man United equaliser being the latest example) and is susceptible to long range efforts in the top corner due to his height ... that said I wouldn't be looking to replace him as I think he is a great shot stopper and excellent from a team perspective (I think the others really like him).

Wes and Huth as a combination are always going to be vulnrble to pace so it will be important to give them as much protection as possible but their recent displays have been impressive - but neithr can go on forever and we should already be 'succession planning'.

Danny Simpson has been excellent - I was one of his biggest critics - he is still average (on occasion worse) in possession but is invaluable to the pressing ethic - both full-backs looking very good.

I worry about injuries to the key creative / goal scoring players - bt that's football -

If we bring anyone in it needs to be real quality and, character wise, someone prepared to wait their turn for an opportunity - much as Fuchs has done and Inler is doing (by all accounts) ...

Schlupp, Inler and Kramaric are all excellent options tbf

You can learn a lot about a squad by looking at our "second" starting XI

Say this is our first choice...

    Schmeichel
    Simpson -- Huth -- Morgan -- Fuchs
    Albrighton -- Drinkwater -- Kante -- Mahrez
    Vardy -- Ulloa

How would our "second" XI fare in the Premier League? Would it survive?

    Schwarzer
De Laet -- Benalouane -- Was -- Chilwell*
    Dyer -- Inler -- King -- Schlupp
    Kramaric -- Okazaki

*I know Chilwell is out on loan, but just for arguments sake...

To me, that second XI could even do okay in the Premier League...

But arguably highlights the need for a new RB and a new CB.

Hence why Kramaric should be given a chance.

RB, extra CB, Dyer permanent and possibly a more attacking CM.

Should check how much they want for Trippier.

Chilwell is a left back and his immediate future isnt here. He seems one hell of a prospect though. We fully covered at left back with Fuchs, Schlupp and Chilwell

He played in what was pretty much a back 3 at Burton pre-season, with Fuchs in front of him. Think he may be slightly more versatile than simply a left back.

Byram would be a good call, he's still young and could make the step up. Simpson and De Laet have done ok, but still not fully convinced either is good enough for where we want to be (my Newcastle supporting friend was exasperated that Simpson was starting for the team at the top of the league). We're never going to be in a better position for attracting players to the club, so let's go for it. We're going to need some extra class for the Champions League next season!

I don't think our scouting network is realistically looking at champions league quality players tbh, unless they are complete unknowns that we hope will become that good (like Mahrez for example).

No doubt we are looking at players that can play well in the prem, but i don't think the scouts will be looking at anyone that can come in and make an instant impact for top 4 hopes!

These kind of players are still out of our league financially speaking anyway.

If Inler & Krammy go then who do you get in ? because all you´re going to do is replace them with another 2 players almost the same & then all they´ll do is sit on the bench aswell.
Losing Vardy & Mahrez, in Jan, would be a big, big mistake. You shouldn´t be doing that half way through the season, plain stupid. **** the money, if a team wants them then they´ll be back in the summer with a bid.
I´d look to get a replacement for them both now & let them (the replacements) settle in for half a season & then when JV & RM do go in the summer then we have 2 players that have abit of experience in the prem (that´s if they have never played in the prem that is) & gotten used to life in England (if not already)

I prefer us to be chasing hidden gems like Knockaert, Mahrez, Kante and Vardy to chasing big money players with reputation

Its hard to attract them for the right reasons. It can be done proven by Cambiasso and Inler but just look at QPR. It can gets tits up

If Leicester want to take a serious run at Champions League and even the League title , all transfer roads lead to putting a stop to leaking goals.Central defender for sure , not sure if you guys play with a holding midfielder or if it needs to be addressed.
Chances are you won't keep up the pace on scoring so stopping them from going in could neutralize that.
