anybody else thinks it goes on too long & should be shut before season starts, ok its exciting rumour after rumour, but its starting to get on my tits now & we've had our fair share of rumours if not the most, papers, tv, radio, journalists, where do they dig them up from, be glad when ours is done & dusted.
Completely agree & best for all teams to have the full squad in place before the season starts & then stops all the current BS that goes on now.
I agree but I guess to be fair to clubs who buy fewer players than us(91 at last count) its only fair to allow for a few games to create a proper unit, and of course there are always a few long-term injuries picked up in August too.
No matter when it shuts we'll still go through the same endless rumours and rubbish talk. But agree, should shut before a ball is kicked in anger. Don't know why they can't open as soon as the season ends. It's ridiculous doing all this when the season is already underway.
I like the idea of having a transfer window during the season. It is an opportunity to farm out players to get regular playing time and it also gives a Manager the opportunity to sell players that can't/won't play well with others. Until the season starts, the entire starting XI isn't on the field together. How can you properly evaluate the chemistry otherwise? Most other sports have a trade deadline during the season. No Club HAS TO make a signing/sale. It drives the newspapers and supporters crazy if they don't, but they don't HAVE TO.
