Well the window is now shut and all i can say is thank f*** for that!!!! Overall i woild say we have signed quality over quantity. We now seem to have a decent attacking team with pace in the side to counter attack o'neill style. Im unsure about rose at left back as i not entirely sure his is an orthodox left back and from what i have seen of him he is decent going forward but his defending is a bit like riccos.
Im sure we will be fine this season pushing top 10 hopefully and now the window is closed i am also sure my other half and kids will enjoy seeing their dad without the pc or phone in hand trawling twitter and forums.
    In mon we trust!!!

After seeing us chasing and signing 9 or 10 players in a transfer window under Bruce in recent seasons, its pleasantly reassuring to see a manager with a plan and a brain operating in the market.

We got our main 2 players in for a hefty investment and complemented them with 2 free transfers and a loan deal.

We didn't lose anyone we didn't want to and got Sess to sign on long term.

We were professional this summer and we have a balanced and exciting looking team to watch.

Can't wait to go and watch them this afternoon. Life is perfect as a Sunderland fan at the moment imo.

Fair assessment Cest. I agree we have gone quality over quantity and I am very much happy about that...looking forward to us getting started.

Would have liked to have seen an experienced left back signed but overall an excellent window, its no use signing 10 players every year. MON has targeted quality players in positions we needed them, very happy and I think Rose will work out OK and if not there is always January.

I'm over the moon with our business this summer but still have that nagging feeling that MON never got ALL of his targets, maybe some more activity in January?

Can't grumble at the players brought in though, definitely lifted the club and team up at least one notch, just looking forward to watchingn them play now.
