You know how great teams were (are) measured by their "spine" of goalkeeper, centre back, midfield general and scorer (the 1966 World Cup-winning team is a prime example)? Well, I reckon we should exploit not our spine but our "head and shoulders", making sure that we've got Sess, Bendtner and Gyan in the game at all times, not pumping the ball upfield and hoping, but getting the ball to whichever one of them drops deep (it mustn't be Sess all the time or else the other team would just have to mark him out of the game - quite a job, mind) and supporting them up the park. This would be a bit like Blackpool last year but I feel with the class we have behind these three, we wouldn't be leaving ourselves open the way they did. Total but not reckless attack. 1-7-3 the new winning system?
