I'm for it, and I believe Jenkins has indicated it should be done http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41188235
Always thought it should be closed before the start of the season. The only drawback is foreign clubs can still buy from us after that date. Surely it is time for FIFA or UEFA , whichever is the body responsible, to make it the same for everyone.
My concerns are that closing the window before the season starts won't give clubs much time to sign players during world cup and Euro championship tournaments though. Also leaves clubs open to Europes big clubs.
I think the bigger prem clubs might be concerned, because they could lose players to European clubs, but then can't replace them. But imo other FAs will now follow suit which will be good. I don't think it will impact on the smaller clubs though. Wonder which clubs voted against this?
Fcuk We cant do what we need to do now with the length of the window as it is, So we will do Fcuk all if they shorten it....
If all of Europes top leagues agree then I'm all for it because I also went to see the very best players possible at the Liberty. How many clubs voted against it?
Swans one of 5 clubs to vote against. Perhaps Huw was afraid he might lose his last minute shopping trip.
I actually like the transfer window as it is. It's exciting What I actually disagree with is the January window. It gives the bigger clubs the chance to destroy smaller clubs who might have a couple of players who are on fire, as could have happened with Llorente and Gylfi in January. I'd prefer we keep the summer window as is and scrap the January window.
I think the window will open sooner to allow for the earlier close....so plenty of time for us to do bugger all
