As said in the other thread, we should get embargoed more often. What an unreal deadline day it's been - and at last you can see a plan, which can only be down to the determination of Slavi. Below is the final tally - I've left in the possibles since there was still doubt till the last minute and also included the edits since they were business that the Club was involved in today. Again a fairly amazing day of transactions given that only Michael Madl of the senior players had a deal completed beforehand. IN Michael Medl (Loan from Sturm Graz - with option to buy) Rohan Ince (Loan from Brighton - with option to buy) Zakaria Labyad (Loan from Sporting Lisbon - with option to buy) Fernando Amorebietta (Returned from loan to Boro) Out Adam Taggart (Premanent transfer to Perth Glory) Jack Grimmer (Loan to Shrewsbury) Larnell Cole (Loan to Shrewsbury extended to end of season) Marek Rodak (Loan to Welling) Jordan Evans (Oxford) Sean Kavanagh (Loan to Mansfield) Cameron Burgess (Loan to Cheltenham) Kay Voser (Contract terminated) Nikolay Bodurov (Loan to FC Midtjylland) [Possible In (On Loan) - Nothing Happened Serge Gnabry (Arsenal) Ibrahima Conte (Anderlecht)] Possible Out - Still at the Club Moussa Dembele Dan Burn Matt Smith In Betweener - Still at the Club Ross McCormack – out or a new contract?? And the best news of all, not even a whiff of a rumour about Emerson Hyndman. Edited: to reflect Rohan Ince signing Edited 1: added to reflect possibility Alex McCarthy (goalkeeper) (Crystal Palace) coming in for Joe Lewis (loan ended and returned to Cardiff) Edited 2: now removed to reflect Palace pulling out at 11th hour (presumed because their attempt to sign Rob Green fell through) Edited: removed to reflect Ajax withdrawing interest in Tom Cairney after the Club said "not for sale" Edited: removed to reflect Andre-Pierre Gignac (from Marseille on loan) after talks between the clubs broke down Edited: to reflect signing of Zakaria Labyad Edited: not on original list but a bid from Arsenal for youngster Ryan Sessegnon was rejected.
Yep satisfied with all that. Good backing by the Club it would seem for the Manager. Onwards and upwards now.
Well after the soft shoe shuffle, we must now see if it works out, a successful outcome in my opinion is we finish in the top half of the table,
A good transfer window, holding on to those SJ said we would, getting in what look like quality additions, sending out others to get more experience on loan or off the payroll, and a couple let go. Yes all very positive, lets hope they click and move us to safety. We must have one of the strongest squads in the Championship now, statistically speaking of course!
Well, that's us guarenteed to go up then. We all know that in the brave new world of Fulham, statistics are all that count.
Come on then guys, now that the dust has settled, who do you reckon was the prime mover in bringing in the new players. Don't mean 'mover' in the sense of who did the final negotiating/admin work but the one who picked out the players in the first instance. Was it 'Stato' Kline because of their performance ratios?; or Was it 'Meddling' Rigg because of his scouting responsibilities (having brought in Phil Chapple from Charlton)?; or Was it 'Manager' Jokanovic because he knew the positions/players he wanted?
The merits of the above will be decided by results at the seasons end, but if we should have a modicum of success all will be claiming credit. But comes the summer Ali Mac will no doubt be exercising skills in the transfer market with the sale of Dembele Hyndman and Siggerson for the princely total sum of about 800k
