Thats a new one on me too ! the replacement of JDG ??

I have a feeling that we will have a top signing or two this summer, trying to remember how i felt when Ki,chico,Michu and Pablo rolled into town, Michu and Pablo id seen a bit of and was excited chico i didnt know much about other than him being suited to the British game ..schektor ? dont think i was bowled over by that one but thought it was gonna be Michu mkII ..<laugh>

Laudrup and Larsen seem to have a good clue of what is needed and the most important thing is this agent/confidant of Laudrup. he seems to be acting on our behalf with some of these deals, it all looks like it is mutually benificial to all parties, im just hoping our 3rd season will reap more stability .:)

Negredo was one that we were linked with ...if only!

Sky Sports understands Swansea are ready to rekindle their interest in Blackpool midfielder Ludovic Sylvestre this summer.

Swansea expressed an interest in Sylvestre last summer, but Blackpool rebuffed their efforts to sign the playmaker.

Sylvestre is out of contract this summer at Bloomfield Road and he has failed to agree a new deal at the club.

The news has alerted a host of clubs to Sylvestre's availability on a free transfer, with the likes of Fulham and Crystal Palace credited with an interest in the 29-year-old in the past.

Swansea boss Michael Laudrup is thought to be a big admirer of Sylvestre and is keen to bring him to the Liberty Stadium to bolster his squad as the club prepare for the extra demands of playing in Europe next term.

Sylvestre has been at Bloomfield Road since 2010, having played for Barcelona earlier in his career and also spent time at Sparta Prague and Mlada Boleslav.

Decent central midfield playmaker. Much like Kemy, but not as aggressive/strong....however, less injury-prone. Not exactly excited by that prospect....probably just his agent trying to get other clubs interested?

Ludo is a friend of mine. Definitely substance in the story. Swansea were definitely sniffing towards the end of last season. No guarantees though. I am biased but a good player, Ince managed to get the best out of him. Holloway might have done the same had he ever have played him. I hope he gets another shot at the prem with a manager who trusts his ability.

Daily Heil saying that swans have bid for Bradley Johnson from norwich for £4.2m. Anyone believe this? Seems odd with Canas coming in the same position unless Kemy is a goner.

Apparently both Clubs are denying any such agreement. Daily Mail exclusive. There's a clue there,I'm sure,if you look deeply enough.

See Johnson as the player we need to put their foot in and add that steel, Whether he is the right one or not is another matter. Canas is more like briton and nicks the ball away. He is no hench man.

    No No No!

Please god don't let us buy him, and CERTAINLY not for that much! He's just an average midfielder. The Norwich fans love him, but only cause he's a trier. He doesn't have enough quality to make our squad. Yes we need a tough tackling hard working centre midfielder, but we also need one that can pass and shoot (he can't do either.)

I've seen him live at Carrow road about 10 times, and not been impressed once. He'd add a bit of steel, granted, but I wouldn't want us spending more than £500k and Norwich wouldn't let him go for that.

I bow to your better knowledge. As i said, dont know whether he is good enough and as you say he is not. But we do need a tough guy in the middle.

    No argument here. ;)

The most annoying thing is we already have someone that should be that player in Kemy. But his injuries, fitness and by the sounds of it professionalism, aren't quite there.....

Maybe I'm confusing him with Snodgrass. All Norwich players seem to have come from Leeds. I think Snodgrass is the one that scores. <ok>
